How cool! RichardArmitageNet.Com has done it again. They found a new promo for Strike Back 2 posted on the Cinemax website. However, it is only viewable in the States so I captured it and uploaded it to YouTube.
Don’t get your hopes up…there is maybe one extra split second of Richard Armitage as compared to the previous shorter promo, but still, it’s rather exciting the amount of promotion this show is getting.
Here is the transcript. If you have any corrections or additions, please let me know. Because I don’t know the names of the characters yet, I am using the names of the actors. They are Sullivan Stapleton, Philip Winchester, Amanda Mealing and Eva Birthistle.
Man: Where are you taking my son?
Amanda: We are here pursuing the Pakistani terrorist Latif. As of now we have nothing.
Sullivan: What’s this got to do with me?
Philip: John Porter. He was undercover in Pakistan looking for Latif. Latif found Porter instead.
Amanda: You were brought in to identify Latif.
Sullivan: You want my help? I want cash.
Philip: You’ll get paid. More than you’re worth.
Eva: Could we be making a mistake?
Amanda: Oh, quite possibly.
Philip: Can we go now?
Sullivan: Yeah but I’m driving.
Sullivan: Move, move, move move!
Latif: (offscreen) Your men are already dead.
Sullivan: Go, go, get down!
Amanda: My men are your best chance of getting everyone out alive.
Sullivan: How many you taken out?
Philip: Two. You?
Sullivan: Three.
Philip: Huh, that’s good.
Man: (offscreen) It’s all going to end perfectly.

Thank you for uploading. Maybe they have to promote it big, because they know they will lose viewers, when Richard is out of the show.
That’s a possible theory, Alfie. I wonder if there will be a Strike Back 3, and if so, will Richard Armitage return to the lead role?

John Porter still in Pakistan, when I thought him well over the border in Iran or even in Iraq to solve his open case with Assad ? That gives me something to think about now.
Glad to be of help, CDoart. I am curious how much John Porter will be in this series with Richard Armitage so busy filming The Hobbit. It doesn’t look like they’re really continuing the story of the first Strike Back series very closely.
Thanks for uploading! IMO they are promoting it big on HBO/cinemax because it is new. The new audience won’t know JP/RA at all, it won’t make a difference if he’s written out quickly.
I agree–they are marketing it as a new series, Jane. I seriously doubt the first series of Strike Back will air in the States.

Bit odd that this is billed as an ‘Original’ Cinemas series…
Err, Cinemax I mean.
Apparently it’s being touted as original in the US, but in the UK, it’s Strike Back 2. I can’t imagine them airing Strike Back 1 in the states…I think it’s very anti-American.
