Hello again, how’s it going? Did you have a nice week? I’m craving cake, LOL! 😛
It’s time for our August collaborative challenge, woohoo!
I have plans for an activity and would love your input. If you’re willing and able to help, you can contribute the following:
- A link to a picture of Richard Armitage or one of his characters.
- A sentence or two by or about Richard Armitage or one of his characters. You can make one up or use one from any source, such as a magazine article or a video interview.
The image and text need not be related. Also, you may make multiple submissions and one will be chosen. Please remember that whether or not you have participated before, you are always warmly welcome to join in!
Here’s an example:
“My name is Richard. I’m from London, England.”
The deadline is Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at 12 noon New York City time.
Our challenge result will be posted on Monday, August 13. 😀 I look forward to your contributions! Thanks so much for your help again. *GROUP HUG*
I’m back from Holidays and checking the ton of e-mails I have received, lol.
Here my proposition :
Picture : http://www.richardarmitagenet.com/images/gallery/RobinHood/album/Series1Promo/album/slides/ep10-1.html
Text : “See you on the dark side” (from “Robin Hood”)
@april73: Welcome back! Thanks so much for your contribution. 🙂 Wow, you’re fast!
It was pure chance. I was reading my e-mails when I saw the alert for new post on your blog. 😉
Here is my input. 🙂
“He was her brother.”
@ayyp: Very nice, thanks so much for your prompt contribution! 😀
Here are my suggestions.
My favorite quote from Sir Guy: “Woman, your willfulness will kill you”.
And one more quote from Sir Guy: “Stay, and make this place bearable”
@Ania: Thanks for your choices! The results will be posted in a week. 🙂
Hi bbcmee, good morning 🙂 A big hug for you.
I love this picture http://www.richardarmitagenet.com/images/gallery/Richard/Promos/ProjectMagJuly2011/album/slides/ProjectMag-07.html
and a quote of Richard about himself (he discusses Spooks season 9):
“I’m really not a violent person which is probably why it’s easy to act. So yeah, I’d like to do something nice and calm and all about love”
@vec170203: Ooh nice juicy quote! Thanks so much for your contribution. 🙂
Oh, bccmee. I am already curious what you will make of it.
Here comes my contribution with my heartstopping, because so hopeful moment for John Mulligan:
“And? Do you feel anything?”
I know, it is a composition of Ellies sentence and his open and unspoken question and not a real quote, but it just hangs so meaningful in the air.
@cdoart: I’m using an idea I’ve had for awhile and I hope it’s fun! Thanks so much for your picture and quote!
The dwarves are kind of raucous dirty, filthy beasts.
@Ana Cris: I love that quote. It’s an instant classic. 🙂
“I knew from the moment I laid eyes on you that we were meant to be together….forever.”
Not a direct quote…but you get the idea 🙂
Looking forward to the results!
@tyme4t: The beauty of this project is that direct quotes are not necessary. Look for the result on Monday! 🙂
Milton’s Most Eligible Bachelor
@Brooke: Clever! Thanks for your contributions.
Here’s my other choice, Bcccmee with the same text as my first choice:
Very interesting idea Bccmee!
My choice is:
Sex symbol? No, the truth is I’m just a DIY geek.
@mariana: Another classic quote, thanks!
My first ever contribution … 🙂
Quote: “I’m a creature of habit when it comes to rustling up dinner.”
@zan: Oooh welcome aboard! *applause* LOL at your contribution! 😀
Thanks! For both! 😀
@zan: You’re most welcome! 😛
This image is simply because after returning from vacation I have repaired the house (and very short of skilled hands)
BetweenTheSheets part 5
\’…My idea of a passionate weekend is doing DIY. I\’m pretty handy with a screwdriver.
But is that sexy? I don\’t think so!…\’
@Tanni Tani: I never saw that screencap before, thanks! I’ve only watched Between the Sheets once and I don’t remember that scene very well, LOL! 😀
Yes, I made this screencap. Seldom does caps from this movie, but I have
6 parts of “Between the Sheets” (I’m not sure this is the full movie, but I’ve never met a more complete version) (sex scenes there) 🙂
And here are some My GIF. Richard with a hammer in his hand.
@Tanni Tani: Cool animated gifs! Thanks for sharing. 😀
Obviously, by the way he handles both nails and hammer, he really is a DIY guy in RL!! Don’t you just love a man who knows his way around a tool box?? 😉
Hi Bcc, it’s always fun to take part in your projects! My contribuition is:
Quote: (I made a little change in a famous Mr. Thorton’s line) ‘Look at me!’
@Luciana: Nicely done! I’m always looking at him, LOL. 😀
… and we have no idea why…LOL
I couldn’t resist going with an Olympic theme. The quote and pic kind of sum up Australia’s Games.
“Really, there’s no disgrace in taking silver.”
Here’s a joke that’s going around:
*Queen eating lunch*
Queen: Why do I have plastic cutlery?
Waiter: Because Australia took all the silver.
@beengizzied: Too funny! When I first read your joke, I thought it said “plastic surgery” instead of “plastic cutlery” so it made no sense. I thought it was about dental fillings, LOL! Thanks for your contribution. 😀
Me too Bccmee, I also first read “plastic surgery” before realising my mistake, lol.
HA HA HA….not! LOL
@mersguy: I almost forgot you’re an Aussie too! 😀
I love your picture and words, Beengizzied. 🙂
Okay, here’s mine. I did a combination of John Porter and Thorin.
“I cannot guarantee his safety. Nor will I be responsible for his fate.”
@Holliday: Nice choices! I can hear different characters say that line. Thanks! 😀
Here’s one of my submissions:
“Will YOU marry ME?”
@Jeannie Gisborne: Absolutely great quote and swoonworthy picture! ♥ Thanks so much!
Hi bccmee, these collaborative projects are fun! My pic:
And the sentence:
“If I’m offered the role of the hero, I immediately look for the antihero within.”
@Fabi: Oh yay, thanks for your very thoughtful quote and lovely promo picture! 🙂
Hi there you, and welcome back!
I’m going to do a mashup of my two favourites. Since I just had a Strike Back marathon, this from the lovely John Porter:
…with this, from Lucas (s7, ep1): “Have you seen her?”
Because I’d certainly want each of them to ask after me. Wouldn’t you? 🙂
Can’t wait to see what you come up with. Thanks for taking the time!
@Emma: Yes, we want our main man to ask after us, LOL! Thanks for your quote and picture. 😀
Hi bccmee, I’m a new follower and am very much enjoying your blog. So, I hope I’m doing this right, here is my submission:
” I did a bad, bad thing”
@Michele R: Super! Congratulations on your first contribution, woohoo! Thanks so very much. You did everything perfectly right. 😀
What a great challenge Bcc! This is fun as always!! Here goes!!
Now that you’ve all seen the “six-pack” – here comes the “back-pack”!! Enjoy!!
@Teuchter: That’s a gold-medal caption! Thanks so much for your contribution! *HUG* 😀
Another great challenge Bccmee – ☺
Series 3 » 6. Do You Love Me?
“what do mean it’s not a prune?
@mersguy: If only I could trade my cake craving for prunes, I’d be happy, LOL! Thanks for your contribution. 😀
RA Quote is from The Independent, December 2, 2004, via RAOnline (http://www.richardarmitageonline.com/articles/Independent20041202.html):
“Do you believe that love is for ever?
I’m counting on it. But, as yet, I cannot confirm it one way or the other.”
Grati’s caption for the closeup cropped image: “Wishing love and happiness to a man who inspires so much love and good will.”
Cropped and full RA image of Catherine posing with Richard Armitage at the Isaac Theatre Royal Benefit that appeared on Frenz’s tumblr. Catherine (CathoNZ on Twitter) subsequently gave me permission to post her photo with RA on my blog as well (I posted them 6/23/12).
@Gratiana: Thanks for your contributions! 😀
Here is Catherine’s direct link to her picture–via RANet:
Glad to participate again of the your funny projects, Bcc.So, here goes my quote:
Yuck! This glove I wouldn´t bite,no way.
The comment before was as anonymous. It´s me.Tereza tassuett.
@Tereza Tausseutt: Thanks so much for all your contributions! 😀 I really appreciate your choices.
Another quote and link;
Look at those naked women!
Ha ha ha hahahaaa! Oh, my, Tereza, that’s SO funny! Best one yet! 🙂
Picture and quote #2
I’ve been waiting.
@Michele: Fun submissions, thanks! I’ll be thinking about which one to choose. 😀
Love love love this picture! Check out the stubble, forearms and those formidable thighs! 🙂
Michele, I hope you don’t mind me asking, but how do you put in the link so that just the image from photobucket comes up? I haven’t managed to work it out yet, and have tried all the options that are available. I have my own caps etc that I would love to use for instances like this. 🙂
Sorry to get back to you late, Mezz. All I did was copy the Direct Link and post it here. I thought it would have gone back to the photobucket page, I didn’t know it would be a page unto itself.
Thanks for that Michele. I hadn’t even been able to email a link, had to resort to an attachment, so I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. 😦
I’m glad to hear that the picture ends up being a page in itself, I don’t want the rest of the photos in an album to be accessible, even though it’s a private account.
“That’s my strawberry and nut ice cream!”
@love4ot: That’s hilariously random, thanks! LOL 😀
“Come a little closer and I will whisper in your ear.”
@love4ot: *fanning self*
I’m convinced the temperature just went up in here!!!! Thanks love4ot!! 😉
I’ve been watching Strike Back and love Porter’s tender, loving side, so I’m going for this pic:
…with Richard’s (part) quote from an interview, which was to promote SB I think:
“Nourish and nurture are my watchwords…”
@Mezz: Very worthy additions! Thanks so very much! 😀
I’m sure a hug from him would feel really good, don’t you think Mezz? 🙂
Absolutely Teuchter, thank goodness for dreams! *sigh*
@Everyone: Thanks again for your contributions. The deadline has passed and I’m starting work on this project. 😀

I missed this one but it was fun looking through your contributions! Thank you everyone for the gorgeous picture selections and great quotes! Can’t wait for the result! 🙂
@Judit: Thanks for your supportive comment! I’m almost done with the project and will be posting on schedule on Monday. 🙂
I’m looking forward to the result of this challenge. I didn’t get around to participating as I’ve been busy watching the Olympics – here’s just one of our Canadian hotties: http://postmediacanadadotcom.files.wordpress.com/2012/08/adam-van-koeverden-e1344278365347.jpg?w=660&h=330&crop=1 ‘Nuff said…..
Thanks for promoting some of our great Canadian talent!! I’m impressed with ANY athlete who makes it to the Olympics whether they win a medal or not. I am proud of each and every one of them. Being a Scot though, I was thrilled at Andy Murray winning the Gold Medal in the Men’s Singles event!
@Teuchter: I agree that it’s quite an accomplishment to qualify for the Olympics. Congratulations to all the participants!
@A Scattering: I understand being busy this month, LOL! Thanks for your supportive comment and your show and tell. 😉
