Lucas North vs. Sir Guy

Welcome to the 13th day of our challenge. We are pitting two Richard Armitage characters against each other in silly skirmishes.

Today’s competition selection comes to us from Gratiana who has a blog of her own: Something About Love. She requested a contest between Lucas North and Sir Guy of Gisborne. Gratiana wrote, “Which sleeping beauty will entice from us a kiss to awaken him?” Thank you, Gratiana!

Here are your base images from RichardArmitageNet.Com:

Here’s your graphic which you can click for full size:

New Zealand / Zorro / Lucas North vs. Sir Guy

I felt compelled to jam a lot of ideas into the one graphic! *giggle* I’m certainly not the first person to put RA in a Zorro mask. 😎 Not sure if the kiwi fruit mask has been used before.

I was even tempted to turn the thought bubbles into sheep but decided to stop adding things, LOL! I wonder if Lucas and Guy are snoring or stuttering. 😉

Now it’s time for your poll. Here’s the link: Who is the more beautiful sleeper?

What fictional masked character could Richard Armitage play? You can make up your own idea! 😀

Woooow, that is very funny Bccmee, I love it !!!

Gratiana, your pic choice is sooo great ! 🙂

Richard would be great in the role of Zorro… or why not, the phantom of the opera ? 😉

  2. Giggles Bccmee!
I love what you’ve done with my suggestion! Lucas sleeping is adorable, but the kiwi eye patches over his peepers make me think of kiwi margaritas that a college friend used to make. So, I had to vote for Zorro Guy. Purrrrrrr! Thanks so much!
    Cheers! Grati ;->
P.S. April, I actually have a Phantom of the Opera tangentially themed original fiction I am writing now. I call it “Phantom Lover” and I have previously shared the first chapter on RAFN as a teaser. I hope to start serializing this new story on my blog later this Summer–at the moment, it is “fighting in the queue” with some of my other stories for what gets published next. Ha! And Tanni has kindly given me permission to use her wonderful RA Phantom of the Opera graphic for part of my story logo.

So clever bccmee! Great idea too Grati — love those pics!
I have never seen kiwi seeds so artfully arranged! Love Lucas, but had to vote for Guy — his lips just look so kissable!

  4. HahahahahHHHAAAaaaaa! i can’t! I just can’t Bccmee! You’re killing me with this project!
First of all these are THE BEST photos ever! Hats off Gratiana! I voted for Lucas because that is my all time favorite picture, but the Zorro! Too much!
Can the boys (meaning RA charactes) not have a sleepover? Imagine it: Porter with his military sleeping bag, Harry and fuzzy slippers, Guy is the bad boy that brought some booze, Mulligan the naughty cigarettes, Standring his stuffed sheep…
Oh! to see that pillow fight.
Ps. I read what I’ve just written. Yes, I see how bad things have become. I promise to see a specialist 😉

    • LMAO!!! Please, please don’t stop!!! What would Thorin bring to a sleepover??!! A collection of 13 Lego dwarfs?

    • Holliday says:

Don’t you dare. That was hysterical.

    • Hi Pin Up,
What about Lucas? Might he bring a tattoo kit to graphically identify his RA character buddies so that he wouldn’t feel so conspicuous with all of his tattoos?

Here are the RA characters and their tats:
Thornton would have a yellow rose for his sweetheart Margaret.
Porter would have … launch codes?
Harry would have a cross in a heart to symbolize his love Gerry.
Mulligan would have a snake tattoo.
Standring would look at everyone like they were nuts and refuse to get a tattoo. So the other RA characters would have to hold him down and tattoo a sheep on him–which would just look like a cloudy because he squirmed so much.
      etc.

I’ll leave it up to you ladies to decide “where” these tattoos are going. Ha!
      Cheers! Grati ;->

  5. Luciana says:

Today it’s hard to stop laughing!!! Loved this!!
RA playing Zorro would be great!! 😉

  6. Mersguy says:

    A 50/50 split…WOW
I did go for Lucas on this occasion as this is my pillowcase and I sleep with it every night (expect wash days!)

  7. Charlotte H. says:

I have to pick Guy. I’m biased, I guess. 🙂

  8. Faboamanto says:

OMG! This is just great. I think the kiwi’s are an original. Thank you Bccmee for a blockbuster graphic and Gratiana for the two sleeping beauties. Difficult choice, but Lucas and the kiwis and unbeatable pair.

I’m with the votes for RA playing Zorro. Think he would be perfect and also we would see quite a bit of him with a sword. Throw in a tango and a pasodoble or two, Hope some movie producer is thinking about it right now.

  9. Judit says:

Lucas, lovely lovely Lucas! How beautiful he is when he’s asleep (and when he’s awake 🙂 ) Had to vote for him as Guy’s face is a little contorted with fear or pain (or whatever) on that pic. Loved the idea and combination of kiwis (both the bird and the fruit)! Guy as Zorro- very fitting too! Fantaz(!)tic! Grati, congrats on the great picture selection! 🙂 Fictional masked character for Mr. A? What about “The Man in the Iron Mask” or “Scarlet Pimpernel”?

  10. LOOOOOOOL Bccmee!!! You’re a blast!!!! I’m going to try both experiences: The kiwi eye-mask and counting RAZorros as a sleeping therapy. I’ll let you know about my results, though I cannot guarantee I’ll be able to sleep with that thought in my mind 😀

Thank you Bcc and Gratiana *mwah*

  11. Lol! this is very funny.Just you,Bcc to make laugh this hour .

  12. vec170203 says:

Good idea!!! I’ll try kiwi to refreshed my eyes after a long session of RA’ online research.

  13. jasrangoon says:

I voted for Sir Guy, but I love the kiwis on Lucas’ face. Too funny!

  14. Great choices of pics Grati! I love the idea of Guy as Zorro and who could blame Lucas for dreaming about New Zealand. He needs a fresh start somewhere. Well done B! 🙂

  15. RAFrenzy says:

Love the Sleeping Beauties! But I would have voted ‘other’. 😀 Lee is the ultimate sleeping beauty

  16. ayyp says:

LOL!!!!! Have yet to try kiwi fruit eye mask before. Must try it!!! Love it!!! Thanks, BccMee and Gratiana!!! 🙂

  17. Teuchter says:

I’m laughing so hard I can hardly type! I love your choice of Sleeping Beauties Grati!! You made it very hard for me to choose. Bcc! What can I say? Another brilliant and hilariously funny graphic. I had to go with Lucas as I own a pair of those eye gel pads that you put over your eyes to soothe them and they look like slices of Kiwi fruit!! We’d be a matching pair!! 😉 They are probably meant to be cucumber but I can pretend, can’t I?? 😀

How about The Scarlet Pimpernel for another character? His eyes would look wonderful behind a mask and I’m sure he could carry off the costumes of that period with panache!!

  18. titianminx says:

This is brill. Giggled so much I cried. I agree I think RA would make a fantastic Scarlet Pimpernel. He would also play a brilliant superhero with spray-on outfits!! Getting a bit hot now at the thought!! LOL

  19. pv says:

LOL! love the kiwi slices on Lucas’s eyes. and Zs to NZ 🙂

  20. Holliday says:

This is hilarious. I actually voted for Guy. I know, shock of shocks. I always vote for Lucas, but there was just something about Guy in that mask that appealed to me.

The only non-slasher flick character that I can think of with a mask that hasn’t already been mentioned(at least I don’t recall seeing it) is the Dread Pirate Roberts from The Princess Bride.

  21. Ana Cris says:

This is very funny! You’ll kill us … of laughing!

  22. Ania says:

Posts of your challenge, should have a warning: “drinking while reading can cause the monitor shower” LOL!
Beautiful pictures Grati. Poor Lucas looks so funny. 🙂 Brilliant graphic, Bccmee! Thank you:)

  23. tyme4t says:

ok…so now I have visions of sharing kiwi & whip cream wedding cake with RA…call it a graphic-mash up of the gastRAnomical proportions!

  24. Thais says:

Great graphic, Bccmee! Hilarious! I love Lucas North, but Sir Guy as Zorro is just irresistible! 🙂

  25. Carolyn says:

Oh my, they are both gorgeous sleepers! Funny graphic!

  26. Joanna says:

Hahaha!:D~ …. I was laughing so loud!……this is crazy!:) Thanks Girls!:)

  27. bccmee says:

@Everyone: Thanks again for your brilliant comments! It’s funny how the kiwi seeds look like eyes. That was an unintentional bonus! A slumber and tattoo party sounds hilarious. 😀

I voted for Guy this time. Not sure why, but maybe it’s because I have to continue my losing stReAk! Although when it comes to RA chaRActers, there are only winners! RA wearing spray-on superhero outfits or breeches sound good to me! Love the idea of a kiwi & whip cream wedding cake mashup, YUM.

Teuchter actually owns a kiwi sleep mask although they’re disguised as cucumbers. Clever! I never heard of such a thing before. 😉

I would wear an eye mask with RA as John Porter on the inside, LOL.

It takes 2 to tRAngo. Any volunteers?

  28. jemma40 says:

I have just had this pop up as a Google Alert. Needed a chuckle after the day I’ve had, so thank you!
I had to vote for Lucas, as I live in New Zealand, so to do otherwise would make me feel like a traitor, lol. I also recently moved out of a town which used to be know as the town with the largest kiwi house.
You mention a wedding cake made with whipped cream and kiwi fruit? I’m not sure if you know, but we have a cake here called a pavalova, which is basically made up of egg whites, sugar, cornflour, and which traditionlly gets covered with a layer of whipped cream and kiwifruit/strawberries. Very delicious! My son asks for it every birthday.

    • bccmee says:

@jemna40: Welcome! Sorry you had a tough day and hope things are looking brighter. How cool that you once lived in the kiwi capital. A visit to New Zealand has been on my bucket list for a long time. Now I want to add that cake to my list, LOL! Thanks so much for your lovely comment. 🙂

    • Teuchter says:

Ooooh!! Thanks for reminding me of this wonderful dessert jemma! We had Pavlova both times we visited NZ and it was wonderful. If anyone is interested just Google the name and you’ll see some pictures! Very yummy!! 😀 I can understand why your son would want it each birthday. I have to say I loved your country, it’s people, the scenery and the food!! Sadly we didn’t get the chance to see all of the North Island only going as far north as Waipu (I’m Scottish originally so you will understand why we went there!) and not much further south than Gisborne but it was all SO beautiful. It left us with many lovely memories I can assure you!
