John Mulligan vs. Harry Kennedy

Here we are with more fun and silly games! Welcome back.  😀

This is the twelfth day of our challenge in which we pit two Richard Armitage characters against each other in competitions. Today’s contributions come to us from Elaine who runs a photography and theater blog: A Scattering. Thank you very much! I hope Elaine doesn’t mind if I mention that she and I will be meeting for the first time in person over the weekend.  😀  I’m looking forward to it a great deal!

Our contest is between John Mulligan and Harry Kennedy. Elaine wrote, “The challenge is ‘Hypnosis’ – you are getting very sleepy (you want to go to bed….)”

Here are your base images courtesy of RichardArmitageNet.Com:

Below is your graphic. I urge you to click it for full size!

Levitating fork / John Mulligan vs. Harry Kennedy / When you wake, you will fall in love with the next man you see wearing a cuddly stripey jumper

It was a lot of fun to make the swirly bits, LOL! I have no idea how I came up with this graphic so if you have any theories, please share. 😉

Now it’s time for your poll. Here’s the direct link: Who is the better hypnotist?

Would you rather have the ability to hypnotize or levitate people or objects? How would you use your magical power? I would levitate the subway train and come visit each of you, LOL!

No one of them would have much trouble to hypnotize me… Lol
Great, Bcc and Elaine… and here I’ll stay very envious of you meeting each other!! Have fun, girls!! 😉

  2. april73 says:

Excellent graphic and pic choice Bccmee and Elaine. 🙂

I voted for John Mulligan. I love the scene with the fork. ❤

  3. kathryngaul says:

You will need more than the subway train to visit me – but don’t let that put you off! 😉

  4. kathryngaul says:

Simply adore what you did to Harry’s jumper! 🙂

I love that man to bits.but I voted for naughty Johnnie 😉

  5. cdoart says:

Elaine, what an idea. RA really is hypnotizin in his roles.
Bccmee, I love what you did with Harry Kennedy’s jumper, but still John Mulligan holds me entranced and so wins the combat ;o)

  6. Faboamanto says:

I voted for John M – the things that man can do with a fork! Let’s face it, Harry wouldn’t really have to hypnotize any woman to have them fall in love with him.

Thank you Bccmee – have no idea how you came up with this one, but made me laugh on a Tuesday! Elaine, what a great pairing, very original.

I would like the ability to hypnotize people. Hopefully I would use it for good deeds – maybe. LOL

  7. Monica says:

Laughed so hard I spit coffee everywhere! Thanks for this, ladies. The levitating fork wins only because John is such a bad boy for me, but both John & Harry are irresistible in my book.

  8. Judit says:

Had to vote for Harry as he was (and always will be 🙂 ) my first RA love- I’m surprised he’s losing this contest by such a large margin! How is that possible? Come on girls, give Harry some love! 🙂
BCC, the levitating fork is a great idea! I know how you came up with the swirly bits for the jumper: you were under the influence of Harry’s mesmerizing eyes! He took you on a psychedelic type of journey with him! I’d like the ability to hypnotize people too. 🙂 Great picture selection Elaine! Hope you and Bcc will have fun this weekend. Wouldn’t it be fun to hold an international RA fan convention too?

  9. John M. wins this one. He’s turned a fork into erotica, bordering on soft porn 😉
BTW, from all of the RA characters, I think Porter would be the easiest to hypnotize, or maybe John Standring. They are lovely blokes, with big hearts, but maybe not the sharpest tool in the shed / the sharpest knife in the set 😉

    • Judit says:

I think Porter is actually quite clever. Can you imagine memorising the entire floor plan of a large prison? Plus I don’t think the SAS would hire any numpties.. 🙂

  10. Elaine says:

Hi ladies! I really enjoyed finding the photos for this challenge and bccmee you’ve done a stellar job again. Honestly, I don’t know how you come up with the great ideas.

I’m partial to Harry Kennedy. For one thing I haven’t seen RA in the John Mulligan role. For another, as I’ve told bccmee in our plans for meeting, I’m shaped very much like Dawn French/Geraldine Granger so I have to be partial to a character who loves a generously shaped woman. lol!

RA is hypnotic in ANY role.

    Cheers!

    • bccmee says:

@Elaine: Harry Kennedy is such a sweetie. ♥ Totally agree that RA can entRAnce us all! 😀 Thanks again so much for your lovely contributions!

  11. Judit says:

Yay! Go Harry! 🙂 Only losing 70%-30 % now! 😉

  12. servetus says:

    You seriously improved that sweater!

    • kathryngaul says:

      No, no, no, Servetus…..”jumper”, please! We’re multi-lingual here 😉

      • Joanna says:

Exuse me, Kathryngaul…but “sweater”(sweter) sounds just fine in my Slavic ear.:)

        • kathryngaul says:

I was attempting to point out that Harry wore jumpers, not sweaters – he’s English and definitely the jumper type! Bccmee got it

        • Joanna says:

Don’t count on me,Kathryngaul. Everything that Bccmee understands and is able to do is like magic to me.:)

        • kathryngaul says:

I adore all of Harry’s wardrobe but especially the stripey jumpers. 😉 I really need B to tell me how she put the swirly bits on that particular one! While I don’t agree with Servetus that the jumper’s been improved 😉 in any way, I do agree that it’s spectacular

        • Judit says:

          I love Harry’s wardrobe too! 🙂

  13. titianminx says:

Luv both characters, but voted for John Mulligan. Naughty man!! Harry’s swirly jumper is far better than the original. I would love to meet up with others who appreciate RA. Have fun girls.

  14. Ania says:

Gorgeous graphic! And great choice of pictures Elaine. Today’s vote is quite difficult, but I confess I’d rather be hypnotized by Harry, but John’s glance ….
    Okay I voted for Harry.:)

  15. It was very hard to choose. Both are very hypnotic. Id o love your choice of photos Elaine and B, I’m sure you were hypnotized when you thought up this idea. 😉

  16. beengizzied says:

A great trance-lation of the images.

  17. Holliday says:

I think maybe you came up with this one because John looks so intense and Harry looks like he’s half asleep, but either way I cracked up laughing when I saw what you’d come up with. Much as I adore Harry, I voted for John.

I would want to be able to hypnotize people, but only to help them kick a bad habit like smoking or to help them come to terms with some trauma they had. I wouldn’t use it for nefarious purposes.

I think it’s awesome that you and Elaine will get the chance to meet. Hope you two have fun.

  18. Hard choice but…who could resist to Harry charm? So I voted him.

  19. tyme4t says:

Great graphic today – made me giggle!!
Harry has always and will always have me in his power…. with or without his glasses!
HAHAHAHA – just had a thought bccmee – Harry in those swirly lensed eyeglasses that you would see in for sale in the back of comic books! 😎

  20. Such fun! Good guy Harry vs bad guy John. And the hypnotizing is priceless!

  21. love4ot says:

I just hope the guy I fall in love with in the stripy jumper is RA, not Bettlejuice 🙂

  22. bccmee says:

@Everyone: This is a very tight race! John Mulligan seems to be squeaking out a win here. Sometimes the characters are more closely matched than others. I am one of those who also love Harry’s sweaters! I chose the word “jumper” only because it was shorter.

Perhaps I did fall under a spell when making this graphic, LOL!

If we do have an international convention, I’ll be sure to send around my magical subway train which can levitate above land and sea!

Thanks again for your comments! Please let me know when you’re in New York City. 😀

  23. Carolyn says:

LOL Great idea for a graphic! He does hypnotize me! Have to go with bad boy Mulligan!
