Phew, that was fun! I really enjoyed our Graphic a Day in May project and hope you did too. I can’t believe how much I love collaborating with you. Now I have lots of cool songs swimming around in my head! ♫ ♪ ♪
We had a nice assortment of screencaps. Below is a breakdown of the number of requests for each character:
And here’s a pie chart which you can click for full size: 😛
Clearly, Richard Armitage himself was requested most often. Speaking of the man himself, did you see the latest pictures posted on RichardArmitageNet.Com? There are some new large BAFTA photos. Here’s an example. Please click and zoom for full size:
I’ve been tempted to play a game of “Count the Stubble” but I would never be able to concentrate enough because I’m constantly bedazzled by RA’s beauty! ♥
By the way, I’ve been nominated for a Sunshine Award by fellow blogger Spookysister7! Thank you very much, my friend. 🙂
As part of the award process I was asked to answer 10 questions, so here goes:
1. What is a favorite childhood memory? I was a free-range child in a large family so there are many happy memories. However, I treasure the one-on-one time spent with my dad taking pictures and then developing and printing the black and white photographs in the darkroom in our basement.
2. What is a real fear you have? I don’t want to be boring.
3. How would you describe yourself? I enjoy having fun! And I’m good at math.
4. What countries have you lived in? I was born in the United States of America and lived here all my life, but I have traveled quite a bit and spent several months in Belize on a research project studying Mayan mathematics.
5. What is your style? If this question refers to fashion, it would probably be “librarian” LOL! My learning style is to play around and experiment like a kindergartener.
6. What is your favorite breakfast food? Leftover Chinese takeout.
7. What are some of your hobbies? Socializing…I love parties! Hanging out with friends, being a tourist in my beloved New York City. And of course blogging.
8. If you could tell people anything, what would be the most important thing to say? Take risks and don’t be afraid to make mistakes.
9. What is one of your passions? Being a Richard Armitage fan.
10. What is the one truth you have learned? Life is short, so take risks (see #8). 🙂 Edit: I also learned from the Mayans that the world is not going to end in December 2012! 😉
I will be nominating another blogger for the Sunshine Award in the near future.
In the meantime, how would you answer the above questions? You don’t need to answer every question — you can pick and mix — although you are more than welcome to respond to all 10! It’s not mandatory though. 😀
I’d like to give my massive thanks to all of you who participate on this blog, whether by reading it, tweeting it, commenting and contributing…you’re all very important to me!
*HUGS* and virtual chocolate for everyone!
See you on the blog in a few days. I wish you a great weekend and lots of RA dReAms!
P.S. Please remember the North & South group watch!
Love it. Thanks for the breakdown.
As for your questions — you and I should form the “I-Eat-Leftover-Chinese-Food-for-Breakfast Club.” Awesomeness.
@lovermrthornton: Haha, we could start a club. Or a blog. Wonder how popular it would be? 😉 I appreciate all your support in this project as well as your work in the North & South worldwide group watch. I’m very excited about participating!
We should also form the I-Eat-Leftover-Cold-Pizza-For-Breakfast Club. Although recently I’ve developed an allergy to tomatoes, so it would have to be the I-Eat-Leftover-Whitesauce-Garlic-Cold-Pizza-For-Breakfast Club.
Nice and interesting answers to the 10 questions. Nice idea from Spookysister7!
I loved your answers. “Mayan mathematics”, now you got me curious ;o)
Answering the questions myself, I already stumbled over the first, though my childhood was not bad.
@cdoart: Your comment about Mayan mathematics reminded me of something important I learned so I edited one of my answers. 🙂 Thanks again for your continued support in the community!
Thank you for the edited version, bccmee. That is really important, as otherwise I would not be able to see “The Hobbit” and that really would be tragic ;o)
@cdoart: LOL! Happy to be of service. 😉
You know I love statistics, thank you for sharing this with us.
Congratulations for the Award!
Summer is long and very hot (here). Anything you are planning to refresh your readers before the Autumn comes?
@Carla: Aw, thanks for your congratulations! Yes, I have a few things planned over the summer. Well I don’t have them planned yet but I will, LOL!
How very much I have enjoyed the month of graphics. I am in awe of your skills and talent.
@Fairlie: Thank you very much for your kind words! I really can’t imagine doing this without so much help and support. 😀
You are so amazing! Thanks for the popularity graph. It is interesting that Lucas got more requests than Thornton. I missed making a request so I wish I’d asked for John Standring!
I like your “librarian” style! 🙂 Is your hair in a bun?
@phylly3: Sorry you missed out on this month’s project. *sigh* As you know, I will have more in the future though. 😀 LOL re: hair in a bun! No bun, but I used to have a chain on my eyeglasses when I was younger. Maybe I’ll get a new chain for my 3D glasses when I go to see The Hobbit! 😉
Once again, thanks a lot for your lovely and wonderful siggies and walls Bccmee. 🙂
I wish you and everyone a nice week-end.
@april73: I appreciate your participation! Looking forward to the next project. Hope you have a lovely weekend too. 😀
Congratulations on the award! You deserve it! LOL, glad to know that we will all be around in December to see The Hobbit.
@Carolyn: Thanks very much for your kind words! It was a relief for me to find out we’ll still be around after 2012 although I still like to blame my computer woes on the “2012 bug.” 😉
I really can’t thank you enough for cheering me up and making my May. The last 6 months have been terrible for me. I’ve really looked forward to your postings. I will certainly join in the N&S viewing-be a bit late joining because of work-Boo. Hope you will do another RA month. Thank you again.;)
@titianminx: Sorry to hear about your rough patch! Hope things look brighter soon. *HUGS* I’m not sure what days or times I’m going to be joining the N&S group watch, but I’ll pop in when I can. 😀 Thank you so much for your kind words!
If it helps everybody to know, there are various viewing cycles over the course of 3 days — today, Saturday and Sunday — and fixed so that it’s not always in the middle of the night, depending on where you’re sitting on the globe. I’m probably watching tonight but will also hop on and off during the weekend. There are so many of you in so many places, and I want to chat with everyone! Looking forward to it!
B, many thanks for the hugs. I’ve been having a rubbish time for the past 6 months. It started when my lovely mum died very suddenly of a brain haemorrhage. It has just continued with various other things. I just can’t seem to get myslf “together”. I keep crying which is new to me as I hardly ever cry. Just can’t stop, people must think I’m nuts! Thanks again for the hugs and I really look forward to your next RA postings.
@titianminx: I’m very sorry for your loss. What a shock that must have been. *HUGS* Crying could be very cleansing. My deepest condolences.
Thank you for your beautiful gRAfics,Bccmee! Congratulations!:)
One award comes to my mind-‘The intelligent entartainment’ award.
BTW..you know..this photo..is huge..are you sure that this is legal?;) He may sue you!:D
@Joanna: Hee hee, yes that picture is cRAzy large! LOL re: “is it legal?” If not, I want to share my cell with John Porter. 😉 Thanks for your brilliant comment! 😀
Thanks so much for such clear explanations for how you put it all together. The things one can learn from the various RA sites once one becomes RA-fascinated…
@RAnewcomer: Welcome aboard! It’s a very fun community and I’m always learning something new! Thanks very much for your comment. 😀
How interesting you’ve studied the Mayan culture, I’m also interested in archeology and read books about it in the past. I recorded a series called Out of the past, wich was about archeological research in Copan and other Mayan cities. When I was 17 I tried to decipher the language with the strange figures. Can you read Mayan, B?
@jacqui_coinyard: Out of the Past sounds fascinating! I’ve not seen that series. As far as the language, alas I only learned to decode the calendar glyphs, including the various cycles and the numbers in their two different formats. My spoken Mayan was laughably bad but luckily virtually all the Mayans I met in Belize spoke English too. When I went to Guatemala and Mexico, I had a translator. 😀
Thanks so much for your comment!
I am LOVING that up close and personal picture of Richard. It’s easy to get distracted trying to count the stubble. Especially by that smile and those eyes of his. Congratulations on the nomination for the Sunshine Award!
As for the questions, I suck at math. English was always my best subject. I’m a word person, not a numbers person. I just discovered peanut butter Cheerios and that is my new favorite breakfast food. I’m a peanut butteraholic. My youngest daughter once told me I have a peanut butter monkey on my back and when the peanut butter monkey wants to be fed, I must obey.
And thank you for your wonderful blog. I enjoy it very much.
@Holliday: That RA picture is simply dreamy and delectable, isn’t it? ♥ I can’t believe his eyes either!
LOL re: your peanut butter obsession. 😀 Have to admit, I’ve never heard of that kind of Cheerios. I’m too fond of leftovers for breakfast. 😀
Thank you again for your inspired choice of song and dancing Richard screencap!
This was such a wonderful merry, merry month of May. I did not want it to end. You have done such a great job. All your hard work has paid off in affection in from the hearts of all of us who have enjoyed it!
I would describe myself as joyful, silly, weird and fun. Go figure 🙂
My one passion? I’ll let you figure that one out 🙂 🙂 🙂
@jeanniegisborne: Have to admit, I’m missing May already! I like your self-assessment: “joyful, silly, weird and fun.” Most excellent! Thanks for sharing your passion. 😀
I’m not sure what a Sunshine Award is, but if it’s for blogging, then it’s much deserved! Those are all great questions, and very good answers. Good at math? I knew you were a clever girl! 🙂
I think this question is the best: “If you could tell people anything, what would be the most important thing to say?”, and I would answer: Never be afraid to be honest!
Thanks again for all you did in May for us! I can’t wait to see what you’re up to next
@Emma: It was such a pleasure to join forces with you for this project! Thanks so very much for your beardy pic and your song which I’d not heard before but which now plays in my head. 😀
Hi Bcc,
Thanks for all the fun in May and your interview!
I would says: Live and let live!
Hi Bccmee!
Congrats on your nomination! And May was oodles of fun! You must be tuckered out. Ha!
Cheers! Grati ;->
@Gratiana: Thanks for your kind words of support and all your participation throughout the month! I’m not really tired out actually. It was indeed “oodles of fun.” 😀
@Ana Cris: Thanks for your kind words! You have a very appropriate motto! 😀
Bccmee, this has been so much fun. Something to look forward to on my iPod each morning. Thank you so much. “blows kiss” .The sigs & wallies were all amazing but I have to admit I loved my laughing Richard the best 🙂
Fun also to read everyone’s comments & share the love!
As for the HUGE pic of Richard……OMG I can’t stop staring into those gorgeous eyes & smiling over the little bits of popping up hair & the sweet mussy eyebrows and all that stubble up close….THUD.
Mmm – how would I describe myself? A silly but ordinary nutbag who is often too flippant for her own good.
And on that note my greatest fear? – that I bump into the Leader of the Opposition in our Federal Parliament……..wearing his budgie smugglers !!
@Beachbaby: I’m thrilled you liked the outcome of our collaborative “laughing Richard” graphic. I agree that RA looks simply scrumptious in that massive BAFTA photo. All the adorable parts make a super lovely whole. ♥ So you’re silly too, eh? We need to stick together! Re: your budgie smugglers comment, I’m doing a full out Richard laugh! 😀
Scrumptious… that’s the right word… 😉
Thank you to you bccmee and all who contributed too! It was hard for me not to submit more pics & song suggestions….listening to the radio / cds during this month would instantly trigger the thought….”That would be a gReAt song for B to work with!” LOL – then of course I would often go searching for the perfect picture of Richard to go with it – What a great way to spend my time.
Looking forward to your next project ~ and if you need any suggestions….you know you just have to ask and there is a whole crew waiting to help! 😎
@tyme4t: I appreciate your kind thoughts! I cannot believe how much I loved this project. It was more fun than I ever imagined and I thank you very much for your contributions. I have lots of ideas for future collaborations, but I may still come to you for suggestions. You never know…. 😀
Congratulations Bccmee!! You deserve every award! It’s nice to know more about you. And you know what, I also liked math. 🙂
I like the large picture of Richard because I can watch him without glasses. 😉 LOL!
I forgot to say, like Ana Cris, my motto is: live and let live!
@Ania: How cool that we both like math! LOL re: looking without glasses! Yes, that’s always a treat. 😎
Belated congratulations on your award, Bccmee!! You have surely brought sunshine into my life not only with this wonderful Graphic a Day in May project and other projects you have allowed us to be a part of, but in your blog in general as well as all the amazing videos you have done in the past. I’m rather excited to see what you will come up with next!! It’s sure to be good!! 🙂 And you know we are always ready to jump in and participate! 😀
These new enlargeable pictures of Richard are pretty stunning!! They make one a little weak at the knees and even a little breathless!!! 😉
@Teuchter: I’m delighted you take part in this blog. I’m curious what will be next too, LOL!
*sigh* I completely and utterly agree about your analysis of the massive Richard Armitage photos. ♥
Very interesting post. I have been interested in the questions and your answers.
I really want to choose Richard, but it seems to me that I do not know what it really is. And I know more about Guy or Lucas, what about Richard actually.
Especially liked the fact that life does not end in December 2012. 🙂 This is a very optimistic 🙂
(Sorry my English)
@Tanni Tani: Thank you so much for your comment! It’s a good thing the world will go on long enough to see the second Hobbit movie, LOL! As you know, I really love and admire your creative graphics and Flash projects!
Me too. 🙂
Thank you so much bccee for brightening up my otherwise miserable May! You gave me something to look forward to every day! Loved my CBeebies siggie with the little bird on our gorgeous Richard’s shoulder. Congrats on your award nomination! You deserve it! It was interesting to read those questions and your answers. Favourite childhood memory? My mum or dad read us a bedtime story every night, I used to love listening to those. I’m afraid I was awful at all science subjects at school; I was good at literature, grammar, languages. Hobbies? Richarding, first and foremost! I also love listening to music (mainly classical and opera but I love all sorts of music as long as it has a melody 🙂 ), reading English books, watching films or TV series in English. I’m a bit of an anglophile! 🙂 I lived in Hungary most of my life except between 1999-2001 when I was living in London, England. I was working there as an au-pair.
@Judit: I’m delighted you enjoyed your CBeebies graphic. Your parents reading aloud to you is a wonderful memory. Thanks for sharing so many answers. It’s great to get to know you better! *HUGS* And I hope things look brighter soon. Yes, “Richarding” makes a perfect hobby! 😀
Oh great, you come from Hungary ? My best friend (I know her since 28 years) comes from Budapest but now, she also lives in Switzerland. 😉
Firstly congratulations for your award nomination, although I had not been amazed with that, because you´ve always been a such talented person in all that you do . Second, I´m still drooling because of Richard´s photo. It´s breathtaking! Unfortunately, this month I couldn´t participate more of this project like I ´d wish, but I was sure that there would be good suggestions from my friends. And I was right! . There were so many wonderful graphics, wallpapers that would be a very hard task to choose one among them all. Each one was more creative than other one.Never a month passed so fast . I enjoy myself a lot during all this month visiting your blog and reading the comments. Congratulations. You have done a magnificent job. You really deserve this award because you,Bcc is an enlightened person. Thank you for all ! Hugs and Have a Wonderful week!
@Tereza: Thanks so very much for your kind and thoughtful words. *HUG* That RA BAFTA photo is amazing. *sigh* I had a lot of fun doing this project. There are so many ideas for the next one, I’m having trouble boiling it down to one. 😀
I truly appreciate your support!
I am disappointed that Harry didn’t get many votes. Congratulations on getting nominated. 🙂
1. I traveled to South Dakota and I loved to imagine stories.
I love your comment about your style. I sometimes have the librarian style moments. LOL.
Regarding #8, are you saying that one of us should take a risk and run after RA if we see him in London? Haha.
2. I admit that I fear being stuck in a small town. I enjoy living in the city and knowing a ton of people who can know my business. Haha.
3. I think my style is neat, feminine, decent casual. I like clothes that don’t make me look sloppy and too young.
9. I love to write historical fiction and the Victorian Era. You already know that, Bccmee. 🙂
7. See above. Also, I like to garden, watch movies, golf, and read. These are a few of my hobbies.
10. In the time that we complain, we could be remembering things to be thankful for or saying something more meaningful.
@Brooke: Wow, you’re the first person to answer all ten questions. Congratulations and thank you! I look forward to the day you are a published writer. Then I can say, “I knew her when.” 😉
