Happy Friday! I wish you a gReAt weekend. 😀
Today’s screencap of Richard Armitage as John Porter comes to us from smitkit. She left the song choice up to me. Thanks for your contribution of my favorite RA chaRActer, smitkit! ♥
Here’s your base image from smitkit’s own stash:
Here’s your graphic of the day:
Clearly I need help since I adore this fictional character so much, but help will have to wait, LOL!
To start things off, I clipped out the John Porter figure. He was well-lit in this scene so I only brightened him the tiniest bit. Then I added a heart to his shoulder to be part of his camouflage shirt. For a touch of realism I also put in a fold with some shadow and blurred the heart’s edges.
I borrowed some of the shrubbery from this screencap for the background:
In keeping with the camouflage theme, I added the following screencap which I also snaffled from RichardArmitageNet.Com:
To get rid of the sky1 logo, I selected it and then used the Edit > Fill > Content-Aware command in Adobe Photoshop 5. It’s a very handy dandy tool to speed things up! However, I ended up cropping out the top of his head, LOL! Good thing it’s a quick method. 😉 Then I lowered the opacity of this layer.
Finally I wrote the caption “the perfect camouflage” in the Stencillia-A and Stencil Std fonts. I also snuck in another heart for good measure. ♥
In a fit of fun, I made the same siggie with another caption:
“Armitage” does not rhyme with “camouflage”
How long would it take you to ask for John Porter’s mobile number? 😉
2 seconds
Only kidding! I hope I could restrain myself long enough to appear cool and ladylike 😉
As someone who was formerly married to “the military” for about a decade, your graphic this morning really touched me personally. His expressions contrast each other beautifully and paint an accurate picture of the emotional “war struggle” and the opposing confidence that these men share. This is really beautiful.
Wonderful siggie, bccmee and smitkit! John Porter for rescue! Bccmee, I like both your texts ;o)
To your question, I would never dare to, I am much too shy for that 😉
“The Perfect Camouflage” is the perfect caption. Smitkit, you must be very pleased with bccmee’s transformation of this photo. Happy FRidAy everyone!
Oh! I missed the fun question!
How long would it take me to ask for Porter’s number?
I wouldn’t need to ask, because I’d have it on Caller ID after he’d get mine first.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I’m with bcc on Porter being my favourite of Richard’s characters (so far), so thank you smitkit for the excellent choice!
Clever you, b, with the camouflage heart on the jacket! I’d have missed it if you didn’t mention it. Great job on combining the two photos.
I’d certanly “try” to be as subtle as possible at getting Porter’s number. Maybe after he rescued me (because he does that so well!), I’d try something innocent like “Coffee when you’re on leave again?” 😀
I have a thing for military uniforms, (formerly married to a Marine) and Richard is particularly gorgeous in that pic. Love both captions Bcc. Regarding your question, I’m afraid I would never have the guts to ask him 🙂
Sorry, internet shut me down!
Thanks for the picture smitkit 🙂 Have a nice Friday everyone!!!
And neither would I in real life! 🙂
What a gorgeous siggy of our beloved John Porter. I enjoyed reading how you created it too.
Lovely choice of picture smitkit … and once again, well done bccmee!!
Awesome! Awww, even in camo he’s still pretty. I still need to watch Strike Back. Definitely on my summer “to do” list. 🙂
Love me some John Porter too. Great choice smitkit. Great job, as always B. I would’ve missed the heart too if you hadn’t pointed it out. You are just amazing with what you do with these pictures.
I don’t know if I would be able to actually ask him for his number, but I would try to be as flirtatious as possible so he’d ask me for mine.
Great Siggies! I love the quote on the second one cuz I was guilty of that (and still am). Hmmmm, wouldn’t take long to ask for JP’s number.
Awesome siggie! It would take me about a minute to ask for his number, then forever to recover!
Ooh lovely (as they have all been this month)! Thanks bcc, a great start to my weekend!
I should have mentioned that the cap was originally from RAnet – I can usually find what I want there, though I should make some more of my own, now that I know how (again thanks to you bcc)!
How long to ask for his number – now that would be telling…..
@smitkit: Hee hee, well I wouldn’t want you to reveal any secrets since I don’t have the proper security clearance. 🙂 Glad you enjoyed our collaborative graphic!
Stunning Porter/Armitage smiling image choice, Smitkit! RA’s smile is pure sunshine!
And the siggies are lovely! Thanks for the twofer, Bccmee!
Cheers! Grati ;->
Love the smirk! 😀
The two graphics in one day, oh Bccmee you are too good for us. Both are delicious. ♥ I love Porter’s smile in this picture, thanks smitkit! As for your question, well with my shyness it would take forever 😉
Love the graphics. Great combo-tough and menacing, friendly and smiley! I would never be able to ask for his phone number, because I’d be struck dumb dying of embarassment.
Beautiful job, once again. And I wouldn’t be able to get my mouth to work if faced with that.
Great cap choice, smitkit! Love what you did with it, bcc…the “borrowed shrubbery” makes the perfect background!
Can’t see the second heart? Great sig. lovemrthornton’s description is spot on I think. Am still struggling with the use of mobile phones, I accidently may block JPs number if I had it..!
JP is one of my favourite characters too (see my gravatar)! Love, love, love the screencap and the fantastic siggie! The hearts are so sweet! You’re a star, bcc!! I’d never in a million years could pluck up the courage to speak to JP, let alone ask for his number! Unless I was as gorgeous as the lady who played Danni. But then I wouldn’t be me anymore.. Btw, there’s something that always bothered me about this scene..This honeytrap encounter seemed to have taken place in a sort of doctor’s office (or surgery or whateveryoucallit), and Danni did not lock the door behind her when she entered..So, did they actually do “it” in this kind of public place? She did take his shirt off…Am I the only one who has been pondering this question? I know it’s rather silly! 😉
Once I identified him from amongst the shrubbery I’d demand “Name, rank and phone number, soldier boy” and he’d obey my order.
Your mission was accomplished Squad 25.
Great thinking!
Oh this is fantastic!! Who would ever have imagined that face camo could make John Porter even more beautiful but somehow it did!! His eyes just seemed to pop! Never been so close to drooling over a picture before!! 😉 How do women who act opposite him manage to stay coherent?? I’d be struck dumb to be that close and could NEVER ask for his mobile number, tempting though it would be!! However that request coming from someone my age would be more amusing from his perspective I would think, rather than a reason to be alarmed!! I found both the hearts – brilliant touch – and both graphics are as wonderful as the original picture. Thanks smitkit and Bcc
I love the cap choice! When I first heard of Armitage, I pronounced his name wrong for at least a month.
Gorgeous graphic!! Love Portaa!! ;))
@Everyone: Thanks for your fun answers! I have to admit, I’d definitely ask for his number in real life, LOL…if he didn’t ask for mine first. Seize the day…life is short…that’s my attitude! 😀 Of course he may be frightened of me in which case I’d have to try to find him in the shrubbery with all that camouflage. Mmm, getting oneself rescued is also a good strategy. 😉
As for where Danni and Porter had their “rendezvous,” I suspect it was then and there!
By the way, if you couldn’t find the second heart, it’s “Armitaged” behind the word “Camouflage.” 😉
One second! Or better, I’d first do a Danni on him. Exchanging numbers can wait. 😉
What a lovely graphic of my favourite character – thank you! 😀
Lovely pic choice Smitkit. 🙂
Bccmee, bravo for the wonderful siggie !!! 🙂
