Who do you think you are?
The background of the original image was interesting and added to the story and I kept it after cloning out the bit of Maya. The window blinds demanded some light so I drew a diagonal line with a soft white brush and blurred it. Then I duplicated this line several times and moved each line down and lowered the opacity.
Next I added the caption, which came from the song “Jar of Hearts,” sung by Christina Perri. I had the idea of the “ransom note” style and considered creating the letters from scratch but decided instead to cut out newspaper images. I found several clippings through a Google image search. Below is just one of them:
I used the Polygonal Lasso Tool to cut out the letters and added a slight drop shadow. Finally I applied a half-tone effect to make Lucas and the background look a bit like newsprint.
The music chosen by tyme4t makes a perfect theme song for Lucas.

B, love what you did with the background, especially the light coming through the blinds. It makes for a much better and brighter picture. Perfect choice of music, tyme4t! Not only do I really like this song, but It really suits series 9 Lucas and his conflict of suddenly becoming John whatshisname, which, of course nobody believed, but Richard did an amazing job transforming into. Well done, both of you!

BRILLIANT!! I’m amazed all over again by your creative talents, Bcc. Using the ransom note idea was truly inspired. Even though I found the whole premise for series 9 really disturbing, Richard managed to draw me in once more by his awesome performance. You have really enhanced the scene with the changes you have made to the original. The song choice was perfect too so thank you both.
Who do I think I am? Well apart from being an Avid Armitage Admirer, it’s hard to say!! I wear many different hats! And don’t we all wear “masks” of some kind from time to time? I just love being able to be my own silly self now and again! 😀

Lovely image and siggie! Such angst in Lucas/John’s face in the siggie, it is heartbreaking. The man needs a shot of bourbon, a neck massage to relax his tense muscles, a warm bubble bath to soothe his cares away, and the love of a good woman–not necessarily in that order.
Uh Lucas, when did you say you were coming over? Ha!

I must admit when I listen to this song, I “hear” it from Maya’s point of view towards John….and then I picture the scene where he asks her to close her eyes and she can’t resist him any longer. @Everyone: Great answers to the question “Who do you think you are?” LOL re: “less than the years on my ID card.” I think my birth certificate has a typographical error. Maybe I should take it into Photoshop and fix it. And I too am definitely a Richard Armitage fan if anyone hasn’t yet deduced that. 😉
Delighted you enjoyed the ransom note and lighting and tyme4t’s inspired choice of music which provided the perfect caption for this graphic. Lucas still looks good even though he indeed lost his “dress sense.” Whoever he is, he definitely needs help from someone stronger than Maya. I’m sure there are candidates out there! We all seem to agree that despite the absurdity of the season 9 plot of Spooks, Richard Armitage did an amazing job.
