Graphic a Day in May 2012 – Day 5

Hope you’re having a lovely weekend!

Here we are on day 5 of our graphic challenge.

Today’s image of Richard Armitage as Lucas North comes to us from Ania, who has a blog of her own: zRYSIOwana. Ania writes in both Polish and English so if you speak either of those languages, you’re in luck! Right now, she’s running a poll on which chaRActer looks best in leather. 😉

Here is today’s base image:

Here is your graphic:

Secret Forces

Ania suggested the song “Anything” by Edyta Górniak with the chorus “I would do anything for you anything anything.” This song got me thinking about how Lucas North would do anything, including putting his life on the line, for his country. From there, my mind thought of secrets, top secret and finally “secret forces” because Lucas definitely has power over me, LOL!

For this graphic, I didn’t cut out Lucas but I definitely removed Sarah. Then I created frosted glass on a new layer above Lucas by using the Filter > Distort > Glass command in Photoshop. I applied the Divide blend mode to get it bright and semi-transparent.

Finally, the text “Secret Forces” was written in the Destroy font.

Have a great Saturday and I’ll see you tomorrow! 😀

  19. Judit says:

As the others have commented, this picture looks infinitely better without Sarah “Worst Kisser in the World” Caulfield! I think she’s a closet lesbian btw. 🙂 Thank you for yet another fantastic photo manip, bcc! 🙂

  20. Jennie says:

I haven’t commented every day, or I’ll run out of superlatives by the end of the month…..but this is stunning! Deleting Caulfield…..excellent! Like the font as well!

I’m following your “blueprints” every day to improve my “shopping” skills!. So this is educational too! 😉

    Double thanks Bee!

  22. magwi says:

Unusual but wonderful picture to choose Ania.:)

Yes, yet again you’ve done amazing things bccmee. 😀 Wow! and double Wow! Repeating what others have already said but must say getting rid of “thingy” was the best way to go and you really have accentuated those baby blue eyes. *swoon*♥

Thank you. Now wondering if you’re imagination knows any bounds. 🙂

  23. IngeD3 says:

You make Lucas look gooooood, B! *swoon*

  24. Hi Bccmee and Ania,
Great image choice and manipulation. I think you made Lucas’/Richard Armitage’s eyes an even more translucent blue. Sighhhh!
    Cheers! Grati ;->
P.S. Thanks also for the link to Ania’s blog. I’ve subscriped and listed her in my sidebar of RA related blogs.

  25. bccmee says:

@Everyone: Lucas does have the most amazing eyes. And face. And gaze. And stubble. *sigh* I’m somehow not surprised that the removal of Sarah was met with approval, LOL!

Thank you again for your thoughtful and entertaining comments! 😀
