A guest post from bccmee’s sister

Note from bccmee: I’m still away on my trip and here is a guest blogpost from my sister, love4ot. She gave this to me a few hours before she thought I was departing. Luckily, she had the wrong day, LOL!  Despite our teasing,  I adore my sister and she’s a great friend to me.  Thanks for everything, sis!

bccmee’s sister says…

My Sis, the RA Man Fan

Unlike my sister, I like to get things done way in advance. This usually means within two hours of the time due.

My sister has had many crushes before, but they were always fleeting – Scott Cohen and Jeffery Dean Morgan to name a few. This obsession, however, is completely different because this guy is hotter than the heat produced when protons collide!

Of course when she initially told me about Richard Armitage I was only thrilled because I love British humor and  The Vicar of Dibley was one of my favorite shows. I had not seen those last ones when RA was introduced so I got to watch them one evening on Netflix. I thought what a cutie and a funny actor. When she showed RA as John Thornton in North and South I thought that this guy was a really talented actor. That’s about as far as it went for me.

Now I am able to recognize him in a crowd and hear him croon in my dreams. Not a bad transition for an onlooker so I cannot imagine what goes on in the head of a serious fan! I can also assess when RA will look good, such as a dwarf in The Hobbit.  As soon as Bcc told me he was the leader of the dwarves, Thorin, I knew that a dwarf would be added to the ranks of hottie – something that has never happened in the fantasy fiction world as far as I know (I told you so, sis).

There are actually deep aspects of my relationship with my sister besides RA as John Porter, Guy (as we know, not her overall favorite), and Lucas. She has been with me through thick and thin as I attended graduate school and parent twin teenagers which is a feat that I am not sure how I made it through. Without her constant cheerleading and listening I never would have made it through in one piece! I can thank her now that I know I have a great future ahead of me and I am happy to let her know that I will graduate with honors.

It continues to be a great time spending long hours watching her videos and looking at siggies and avatars (and not those blue things). Overall, when she asked if I would be interested in writing a little something special for her blog, I answered her as I usually do and with a very committed tone – sure, maybe, ah, let me think about it. Then I never really get back to her… It’s the way I show her I really care mostly about me.

Hello. It’s nice to meet Bccmee’s sister.

Thank you for your lovely post and the beautiful pictures. 🙂

    • love4ot says:

Hi April. I really loved reading your guest post too. It sounds like we had some similar initial reactions to RA. Lol. He is a very talented actor on many levels :). Bcc has been a great sis’ to me and I couldn’t have one better even if I ordered her from Amazon! Thank you for posting 🙂

  2. RAFrenzy says:

Thank you for sharing. Your sister has been a great source of pleasure as well as the fascination with Richard Armitage. And congratulations on your graduation!

    • love4ot says:

Thank you RAFrenzy! Bcc me has a great mind for things even beyond RA as you know, so it is a joy to be a part of her life – and all of you (I lurk a lot – you know, busy with school, kids, not a lot of time to participate). Thank you for the well wishes! 🙂

  3. mersguy says:

Hello nice to meet you, thanks for filling in and the pictures. Will you be seeing TH with Bccmee?
Congratulations on your graduation and with honours.

    • love4ot says:

Thank you for the well wishes; I am very excited about graduation day at the end of this semester! I had not thought my sister and I could see the TH together, but I think I’m going to put opening night on my calendar and make a special trip to do that with her! Thank you for the marvelous idea! 🙂

  4. Luciana says:

How sweet of her to write you this lovely post!! I’m envious of you to have someone so close to share your fascination with RA!!!

    • love4ot says:

Hi Luciana. It is fun to share this with my sister. But I have to admit, she does all the hard work. I did make 2 Sims (from Sims 3) of Richard Armitage though (they’re both two of my very best characters!). Thank you for posting 🙂

  5. love4ot, congratulations for the excellent result in graduation! Good luck for the prosecution!

You are a sweet sister and a lovely fan too.
You are lucky not to be the rabid kind of fan!!

    • love4ot says:

Hi Carla. It is a good thing I am not a rabid fan, I’m already distracted as it is by RA’s many fanvids and pictures out there. Can’t imagine what I would be like otherwise – oh, like my sister (hehe). Thank you for the congratulations (make sure you thank my sister too – Lol). Glad you posted 🙂

  6. Musa/Fabo says:

Hello love40t! Great to meet you and your description of Richard Armitage is perfect – he is hotter than that I agree 🙂

    • love4ot says:

Lol Musa/Fabo (love your user name). Thank you for the response – I know I’m mainly a lurker, but I do admit I’m a bit smitten. Thank you for posting. 🙂

  7. Ana Cris says:

    Hi bccmee’s sister
Once Bcc wrote that she had chosen the best sister in the world she could want, and I replied that I had also chosen the best sister in the world that I could wish for! I want everyone to know this brotherly love, to be blood brothers or brothers of soul!

    • love4ot says:

I like the way you put that Ana, we really can choose our sisters/brothers/family. Bcc has been a great person in my life. I enjoy her spunk and her acuity of thought. Thank you for posting 🙂

  8. JasRangoon says:

Lovely to hear from you, bccmee’s sister! We all love your sister here, and of course her talents that she so kindly shares with us! 🙂 Congratulations on your graduation with honors…what a tremendous accomplishment!

  9. jules says:

Lovely to hear from you again ‘B’s sis….I remember wanting to order a sister like you from the catalogue during one of ‘B’s brilliant blogs last year as I don’t have any siblings of my own…I have to admit I changed my mind at the last minute and ordered a Richard instead (still not arrived though) giggles….Your sister has the most wonderful taste in men sorry, man, very similar to my own infact mmmmm I wonder if she has spotted any John Porter, Harry Jasper Kennedy lookalikes on her well deserved hols???? Thankyou for the posting borrowed sis, congratulations and very, very best wishes for the future…please share some of it with us on this amazing blog!!!!
    Luv Jules xxxxxx

    • love4ot says:

Hi jules. Bcc does have good taste in men in general and I hope to hear about some of her good looking guy stories – and hopefully a RA look alike bonus. Thank you so much for posting! 🙂

  10. CDoart says:

How lovely to hear from bccmee’s sister. Thank you, love40t!
I have a big sister, but she does not even know about RA ;o( I know, I should confess to her, but with her husband in tow, I know I never will, else the arguments with him will never end ;o)
It is so wonderful to hear of sisters sharing the RA-world.

    • love4ot says:

Hello CD. It is a nice relationship and neither one of us has to worry about the husband factor… I know she appreciates all the support and has a lot fun doing this. Thank you for posting 🙂

  11. Carolyn says:

Thanks for posting, love4ot! Great to meet Bcc Mee’s sister. I have heard her speak of you. So glad she has someone to share Richard with

    • love4ot says:

Thank you Carolyn. We have a fun time and she even lets me give some input on some of the stuff she does. I’m not that kind of creative, but I least give her more brainstorming ideas (giggle). So glad you posted 🙂

  12. Ania says:

    Hi love4ot,
It seems that you are an amazing sister duo. It’s great to hear that you support each other (not only in being a fan of RA) 🙂 Congratulations on graduation and best wishes for the future.

    • love4ot says:

Thank you Ania. It’s good to have someone to share the shades of gray with. Lol. I appreciate the congratulations and the support for my sister’s creations. 🙂

  13. Antonia Romera says:

    Hi, Bcc’s sister!! And congratulations!!

I’m just recalling that my first chat with your sister envolved a video about Chevy Chase shouting “Francisco Franco is still dead”. Weird, isn’t it? The RA teachings began later. *laughing*

I’m sure you, as your sister, are a great girl. Take care each other.

    • love4ot says:

Hello Antonia – wow weird, I am pretty sure I had the chance to let you know how much I appreciate your thoughts, but something must have gone awry with my computer – well at least I get a second shot. 🙂 Chevy Chase is so funny and my sister does have a way with bringing someone around to the “dark side of the force”, but in this case it’s a very good thing (giggle). Thank you for the congrats and posting 🙂

    • love4ot says:

LOL. The reply I sent you was a separate post below this reply 🙂 , but it’s always nice to chat some more.

  14. love4ot says:

Hi Antonia. Yeah, my sister has a way of reeling you in! lol. Thank you for the well wishes for school. I have to say that she and I really are there for each other and I am grateful for that everyday. Thanks for posting. 🙂

  15. Hello Love4ot!! It’s so nice to meet you 🙂
Also the fact that Bcc wanted to “share” you with us is very very sweet. Thanks B 😉
Richard Armitage was introduced to me as Harry Kennedy, and I thought that he was ok … and his voice and smile got my full attention but it wasn’t until I saw J Thornton that I was genuinely interested, meaning I almost went bananas.O_O
Good choice of pictures, by the way, I especially love the one where he steals a kiss from Geraldine 😀
Congratulations on your graduation, thank you very much for your post and wish you a lot of success and happiness!

    • love4ot says:

Thank you for Ana for the well wishes and that kiss… if only a man would do that with me then I would know it was true love 🙂 I agree about his voice, it’s incredible to put it G rated. Thank you for posting 🙂

  16. fitzg says:

@love4ot/bccmee’s smarter sister :D. How lovely of you to watch your sister’s back on the blog! As the older (not smarter sister) of a much younger one, we two revel in our sistership and shared (not necessarily always PC), sense of humour and she is a best friend.
    Another Dibley Devotee!
    Cheers,
    Sister of bccmee.

    • love4ot says:

Hi Fitzg – you have that right! As we know my sister is quite brilliant but it’s fun to poke at her every now and then (love you sis’ when you read this reply). I am happy that you too have such a lovely relationship with your sister, it’s a very special bond even when it’s not always PC. 🙂 Thank you so much for posting.

  17. Holliday says:

Hello Love4ot, as someone with three sisters(one older and two younger) it’s always fun when one, or more, of them shares your interests(or in this case, obsession). I presently don’t have to share my obsession with Richard with any of my sisters. I have been more than happy to keep him to myself. But I suspect my older sister would be more than happy for an introduction. Congratulations on graduating with honors while raising teenagers(I have two teens as well and know all the challenges they present).
    Holliday

    • love4ot says:

Thank you so much for the kind words Holliday – everyone has been so nice on this blog! I do think you need to share your “small liking” for RA with your older sister, there should be more than enough enjoyment to go around 😀 . Thank you too for posting! 🙂

  18. Adriana Rosa says:

Hello girls! I found quite interesting because you two share the admiration for RA. Here in Brazil, little is published about it, but still am a big fan of the work of Richard Artmitage. I fell for RA in Robin Hood and then began to see their work one by one and I never tire of them revealed. I recruited my niece to the army Armitage … alive today all about following your career and always come here on your site.Infelizmente not speak English and used an online translator, so excuse any typing error. Brazilian hugs and congratulations on graduation.

    • love4ot says:

      Hi Adriana,

I think Richard took a while to come to America as well and it has been nice to have at least one common interest with my sister (heehee). I think it’s so great that the internet is such an international forum. I liked reading the post from April in Switzerland and I look forward to reading Ania’s today. Are you writing one or will in the future? Thank you so much for posting 🙂

  19. How sweet of you Love4ot to do this for your sister!
And congratulations on your great feat at grad school! Hope RA as Thorin (yes, the first ever HOT dwarf!) will push you further towards us!(^_-)-☆

  20. Hi Love4ot,
A very nice guest post! I’m still easing my sister into admiring RA. When she was laid up in the Fall, I loaned her my Vicar of Dibley and my Downton Abbey dvds. She thought RA was cute, but she had never seen Dibley so some of the characters we love eluded her. But, she “broke” disc 3 of Downton Abbey trying to feverishly get it out of the case to watch it again. Ha! So, now she has a replacement dvd on order for me–and DA 2 as well. Though I wonder if she’ll “shortstop” DA 2 and watch it before I get it? Ha!
    Cheers! Grati ;->
P.S. Under no circumstances am I loaning her any more of my RA dvds, lest she break any of them. Ha! She can rent North & South at the local library–which is how I came across it and became a fan of RA’s.

    • love4ot says:

Lol Grati! My sister would probably disown me if I did that. Just kidding, she would never loan them to me (hehe). Maybe your sister can follow my lead! Thank you for posting! 🙂

  21. I really love that pic. of RA as John Porter grinning. Glad you had @bccmee add it in! 🙂

  22. Joanna says:

    Hi Bccmee’s sister! Congratulation!
Your sister has talents which I do not understand, sort of black magic.:D
    Have a great weekand!

    • love4ot says:

      Hi Joanna,

I agree with that. She cracks me up – sometimes she thinks the vid will not be good, so she just “gets it done” and it’s still amazing! Thank you for the congrats and for posting! 🙂

  23. Kate Patrick says:

I really enjoyed reading your post this evening. Congratulations on being a graduate with honors. That took a lot of work, especially with a family. I really tuned in to the fact you survived with teenage twin daughters. My best friend just found out she is expecting twins, and is stunned. I’ll pass on the message that it is doable! You and your sister seem to have a close relationship, and I am happy for you. My sisters and I are close, and I wouldn’t trade those relationships for anything. Nothing better than knowing someone’s got your back at all times! Hope to hear from you again in the future!

  24. bccmee says:

Thanks again for your guest blogpost, sis! You helped me out and didn’t embarrass me, LOL! Well I don’t embarrass easily, so that could have something to do with it. 😉 I appreciate everyone who commented.
