Fanvideo download + 2 little contests

Today’s Picture of the Day on RichardArmitageNet.Com is again Richard Armitage as Sir Guy of Gisborne. The picture is dedicated to Jane’s birthday. We have a Jane who comments here, but I’m not sure if she’s the same person. A very happy birthday to you, Jane, whoever and wherever you are! 🙂

Thanks so much for your lovely responses to the recent Sir Guy of Gisborne fanvideo. I have since added closed captioning. 🙂 Many of you mentioned that Richard Armitage and Keith Allen made a brilliant comedy duo and I totally agree. As promised, here is your download link. It’s in MP4 format so you can play it on your iPod, iPad, iPhone or iRichard: http://www.mediafire.com/file/nm4z474ihca9thj/bccmee_animal.mp4

If you have trouble playing the file, VLC Player will play almost any audio or video file. It’s free and safe and you can download it here: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

Just for fun, I changed one scene in the downloadable video as compared to the version on YouTube. See if you can spot the difference. There will be a little prize for the first person to post the correct difference in the comments below. You don’t need to be scientific about it. Just name the new scene that wasn’t in the original YouTube video. 🙂 The prize is not a tangible item so you won’t need to send me your home address!

For a little treat, I wanted to make an animated gif. The laughing horse was mentioned in the comments of the latest Guy fanvideo and so I decided to make that little scene into an animated gif. However, I was unable to think of a caption, so if you can think of some and write them in the comments, I’ll choose my favorite and post up the winner tomorrow. Thanks in advance for your help! Here’s the unfinished animated gif:

Richard Armitage and the laughing horse

If you were offline yesterday and missed the announcement, there is a new print interview with Richard Armitage on MTV.com. Before you click the link, be forewarned that there is a major spoiler if you are not familiar with the storyline of The Hobbit. Here’s the link: http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1677131/richard-armitage-hobbit.jhtml. Once you’re there, you might see a link to a video that is blocked outside the United States. It is simply the trailer for The Hobbit which you probably have already seen. If you haven’t yet, or you want to see it again, here’s a link that is available internationally: http://youtu.be/xuuZWsY3s8c

So we have two little contests going. One to spot the difference in the fanvideo on YouTube vs. the downloadable video. The other is the caption contest for the animated gif. Hope you can play along and I’ll see you tomorrow!

  1. The downloadable version is not working for me today grrrrrrrr (not giving up yet).
About the caption we could simply be loyal to the lyrics and say something like “here we go again” or “here I go again… *falling for someone who doesn’t deserve me having so many women out there willing to give me their hearts and their * …. ” ooops Off topic! Earth calling Ana!

  2. Hi Bccmee,

Here are my proposed Gif text options:
    1) Two Stallions sharing an inside joke.
    2) Horsing around never looked so good.
    3) Horse: I just kicked the Sheriff in his almonds.

My work is done here. Ha!
    Cheers! Grati ;->

  3. Elaine says:

Richie, the horse, is saying: “Vasey’s hot for you!” bwhahahaha! Sorry, I couldn’t resist.
Or, again from the horse: “Do I have morning breath?”

Bcc, good advice about the spoiler. I’m a Hobbit fan from way back so I knew about the info in the spoiler but it’s nice to give people the choice to not know plot items ahead of time. ;} Elaine

    • bccmee says:

@Elaine: For a guy who has publicly stated he abhors spoilers, Richard Armitage sure spouts them off, LOL! Thanks for your comment and your contest entries. 😀

  4. About the differences on the vid. I think you put Vasey taking a bath or at least we see him half naked (thank G*d to that!) 😀

  5. chabesquen says:

My first thought when I saw the gif was “How’s my breath?” From the horse of course. 🙂

  6. Ania says:

Here is my proposal text for gif:
Horse: Sir, Marian will arrive later.
    or
Horse:Sir, Marian still chooses the dress.

  7. Teuchter says:

My choice of words for the gif – also from Ritchie
    “Guess you blew that!”
    or
    “Not again, Guy!”

The download worked great! I was enjoying it too much to take note of the changes!! 😀

  8. CDoart says:

Thank you for the download, bccmee! I was able to watch the video yesterday, but later, when I came back, it already was locked for G. ;o( But now, I can watch it again ;o) Thank you!
    My suggestion for your gif-text:
(He’s) So funny even a horse laughs …

    • bccmee says:

@CDoart: Interesting. On my YouTube account, it shows it has a copyrighted song but that it’s still available worldwide. However, I’m glad you are able to download it.

Thanks for your caption contest entry! 🙂

  9. Joanna says:

    Thanks Bccmee!<3
Richie the horse: "Nice peaches,my Lord"-iiihahaha!:)

  10. BCC, you know I ain’t good at puns, I lack the language’s skill, but let me comment on this funny gif, poor Sir G. is always touched by the wrong people (Sherry, outlaws, horse, in this case), never the one he would like!
    What a frustrating life!

  11. jacqui_coinyard says:

Love the vid! Hadn’t seen it before 🙂

    • bccmee says:

@jacqui_coinyard: Thank you so much! Good to see you again! 🙂

      • jacqui_coinyard says:

I see you’ve commented -through email- on my blog! Don’t know if I will work on it and didn’t know it was visible ! Don’t even know how everything works! Can I make it invisible only for me to work on?

        • bccmee says:

@jacqui_coinyard: Yes, you can make it invisible or private but I don’t know the steps. 🙂 I’m sure you can find out how with a Google search.

  12. Luciana says:

Well, I shoudn’t say anything because besides lacking the language’s skill I’m not the creative person either… but after listening so many times about the sheriff’s bath scene (s), something came to my mind… why doesn’t this horse suggest SG to have a bath??? I’d love to see this… LOL

  13. Holliday says:

    Here’s my caption idea.
    Horse: Marion likes me best.

  14. I donwload the vid. Now my caption:
Richie (horse): ” How about a little, kiss on my neck!

  15. Ana Cris says:

    Hi Bcc,
    Great fanvideo!
You know that I share the love for Guy of Gisborne and his horse!

  16. Leigh Vondereau says:

Caption entry: “Ride me again” Yes, I know my mind is in the gutter; they like me here.

Wonderful video! You’re so good at this.

Thanks, too, for the link to the interview. Somehow, I don’t think that Richard considered there were any spoilers in what he said. I’d guess that at least 90% of the literate people in the English-speaking world have read The Hobbit by now.

    • bccmee says:

@Leigh Vondereau: Thanks for your kind words on the video and also for your caption contest entry. 😀 You’re right of course that a great number of people have read The Hobbit, but RA has had a habit of revealing spoilers in the past which is rather ironic. I have not read The Hobbit yet, but a friend spoiled it for me long ago. I would’ve heard through one source or another and I’m not terribly upset because it is a book I should have read by now, LOL!

  17. jules says:

Thanks ‘b’ …. I’ve just stopped giggling from yesterday then you go make it into a gif…brilliant…I’ve even taken a liking to Richie now…ooh I sound like Owen …giggles…my suggestions are:
    Hay Guy…stop horsing around!
Geeze Guy get Marion off my back!
Isn’t it time you got Marion in the saddle?
    I’m in fits again…luv jules
