First fanvideo of 2012

Hi again.

Although I didn’t request it, the Picture of the Day on RichardArmitageNet.Com was a perfect choice to go with my new fanvideo.

Picture of the Day 10 January 2012 on RichardArmitageNet.Com

I barely finished this before midnight on Tuesday which was my self-imposed deadline although I’m posting it past midnight so there’s no need to check your clocks, LOL! 🙂 Here is your new Richard Armitage fan video. Hope you enjoy it!

EDIT: Closed captioning has been added to the video on YouTube.

There will be a download of this video and at least a small surprise, such as an animated gif, on Thursday sometime. Let me know if you have any suggestions. Also, if you have any artwork to share, please let me know and it can be featured in a future blogpost.

My schedule has been super busy so far this year. If it continues on like this, the year will fly by and December will be here before I know it. Hopefully for my next fanvideo I’ll have time to add special effects, but it’s fun to do a straight montage vid too.

Also, we’re having a new challenge in February, woohoo!

See you Thursday. Ciao for now.

Glad you enjoyed the video…it’s even better with sound, LOL! Congrats on being my first commenter of my first video of 2012!

      • mersguy says:

        • bccmee says:

@mersguy: Yes, I love this song too! I have to love the songs in my fanvids because I must listen to them repeatedly to make the video! 😀 “I want some more” yeah! Hehe.

  2. Monica says:

    This is great!!!

  3. phylly3 says:

Ah yes the Sheriff and Guy were quite the team. Interesting how the more upbeat music makes it seem like such a romp. I gotta say, I really love the add on vid at the end. You should make a mash up of all your extras. Wouldn’t THAT be a fun video!

  4. kathrynruthd says:

Fab video…and I love the little unexpected extras you put on the end of your vids…always make me smile!

  5. Darkangel66a says:

Loved it!!! It’s awesome. And you know how I much I love my Guy videos.

  6. Chrissy says:

Lovely vid – thanks for sharing!! Also loved the extras at the end. When I went to see CA, I actually laughed out loud when Kruger threw the child into the river ….. I just thought of Guy!!

    • bccmee says:

@Chrissy: I had the same response when I saw Captain America!!! How cool that we have a collective consciousness. 😀 I appreciate your thoughtful comment!

  7. Teuchter says:

Oh Bee!! Good job I had emptied my mouth before that incredible ending appeared on my screen! 🙂 I always find myself holding my breath to see what you are going to do at the end and once more I was NOT disappointed!! The video is totally brilliant – oh how I miss our gorgeous Guy of Gisborne!! I seemed to love him more and more as the series progressed and I still pull out the DVD’s from time to time when I need a Guy “fix”. Isn’t he just the handsomest leather-clad bad boy and dark knight that ever strutted around a castle???? 😀

  8. Joanna says:

    I love to snorting with laughter,thanks Bccmee!<3
You are wonderful,invaluable,brilliant!..and I wanted to add something: you are wonderful, invaluable, brilliant!
I don't know if I mensioned but you ard wonderful, invaluable, brilliant,,(o,shut up Joanna!)
Sheriff has its delightfully disgusting moments, especially when he takes a bath, cares of toenails or manipulates around the tooth…and then yuck!!…"Take these tentacles from my Guy!"

  9. April says:

    Thanks Bccmee.

Nice pic and video !!! 🙂

  10. Luciana says:

Guess there’s no character as inspiring as SG!!! Brilliant BCC!! Who wouldn’t some more??? Talking about ‘more’… I’ve been having a SG ‘overdose’. Just started to watch RH adventures and must confess it’s making me laugh a lot… but I’m just in the beginning!!

  11. beengizzied says:

Bccmee, I am partial to Guy of Gisborne (ALL hair lengths ALL the time) and with some Heinz Kruger and some John Porter we are nearing a smorgasbord or at least a three layer trifle:
    http://sydneyskitchen.tv/2011/01/11/mixed-berry-trifle-leftover-utilization/
And before I go and raid the fridge for trifle I just want to say that the Strikeback leap into the river at around the 3:00 minute mark always makes me think of the “I can’t swim” scene from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. I’m sure it must have been the inspiration:

I wonder if John Porter is supposed to be Butch or Sundance?

    • bccmee says:

@beengizzied: The trifle looks mouth-watering but I don’t know many people with leftover cake in the house. 😉

Your comparison between Porter & Masuku and Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid is spot-on. There clearly was an homage there. It’s quite brilliant how well you catch those. Perhaps you would consider another “not-a-guest-post”?

  12. CDoart says:

Wonderful!!! You did it once again, bccmee! And with John Porter rescuing the kids he tortured in other roles, just an absolutely great ending ;o) – Can’t say more, I must immediately watch it again 😉

  13. Hi bccmee! Thanks for the great first New Year vid!
You picked up so many funny moments between sheriff and Guy! I love them all!

  14. Hi Bccmee,
This is a really fun video! Sir Guy and the Sheriff were quite an un/intentional comedy team. Keith Allen as Vasey chewed the scenery mightily and Richard Armitage as Sir Guy spackled it back again to rebalance the show. Guy’s reactions were completely authentic, thus making it somewhat more believable. I love when the Sheriff walks up from behind Sir Guy and his thin stick taps Guy in the tusy–eliciting a surprised reaction out of Sir Guy/RA that is priceless!

Thanks again for creating the definitive and raucously fun video about the twisted tortured twosome–Sir Guy and Sheriff Vasey. Ha!
    Cheers! Grati ;->

    • bccmee says:

@Gratiana: RA and Keith Allen definitely stayed in character throughout, much to my amazement. I wonder how many of the sheriff’s antics were improv based on Keith Allen’s background.

  15. Elaine says:

I’m a redhead and I wouldn’t want to be protected from Sir Guy – I’d take my chances with the bad boy ;} ! I’ve seen most of season 1 and 2 of RH and I’m crossing my fingers that we’ll eventually see season 3 here in Canada.

BCC, This new video is a great treat for the start of the new year and, as always the surprise ending is superb.

  16. Every day is a very busy and frustrating day for Sir G. with his boss!
I love your choice of music and subject for this video. And I adore the final surprise!

    • bccmee says:

@Carla: They are two characters worth watching! In fact, I enjoyed all the interactions between Guy and the others. Everyone seemed to step up their game a bit in scenes together.

  17. jules says:

You set me off giggling right from the start…what on earth was Ritchie the horse saying to Sir Guy @ 0.17 secs??? I’ve played it back dozens of times…I will stop laughing eventually!!!
    You’re a star ‘B’ … you’ve brightened up what was a miserable January day…luv jules

  18. Ana Cris says:

    Hi Bcc,

Great job! I loved how you ended this video! Splash!

  19. Carolyn says:

Love the video! I can’t get too much Guy, can’t get enough! I loved the interaction between Guy and the sheriff. I found the sheriff to be quite comical. Love the ending. I have red hair and would submit myself to being picked up by either Guy or Heinz!

    • bccmee says:

@Carolyn: Guy and the sheriff made a great comedy duo for sure! Well you may be in luck because it seems RA characters have a thing for redheads, LOL!

  20. Love it B. I ‘liked’ it on YT 🙂

  21. jazzbaby1 says:

Seriously, the relationship between the Sheriff and Gisborne is one of the funniest on television. Sick and twisted but funny. Great job as always!

  22. Ania says:

Bccmee, Your video is absolutely fantastic! I really like the music that never heard before (but that’s why I like watching fanvids, because I always find something new 🙂 )
Oh, RA&KA, they have created a very funny duo, once I’d like to see these two in a comedy 😉

    • bccmee says:

@Ania: I don’t even know how I find my songs. They seem to find me and then the videos tend to “take over” and make themselves, LOL! How brilliant it would be to see Richard Armitage and Keith Allen reunited in another show, wow.

  23. ChrisB says:

Excellent as usual Bccmee. Love the ending – It hadn’t occurred to me that he’s developed a penchant for throwing small children 🙂

  24. Debra says:

LOL funny! Fab video….definitely a keeper! And a great song choice, too! I always got a kick out of the Sheriff…so comical.
OMG I miss Sir Guy so much…I can NEVER get enough of him!
    Keep ’em coming, BccMee! WOO!!!!!
(BTW Loved the extra at the end!)

  26. Delia la Fanetta says:

AHAHAH!!! the end is so fun!!!! love it, thank you!

  27. chabesquen says:

Great video!!! The end was fabulous…he’s made quite the habit of throwing children. Gizzy and the Sheriff are one of my favorite comedy teams. 🙂 Love that song too, so catchy.

  28. servetus says:

    Excellent choice of song!

I have to confess that I like the mostly montage videos best because they require more narrative (as opposed to technical) finesse. There has to be a convincing story with synergy between the songs and the clips and the vidder has to make this clear to the viewer (as opposed to being able to distract from faulty storytelling with effects. I’m not saying every vid with effects does that — but sometimes effects are featured at the expense of the “message” of the vid).

I thought you did a good job with making the clips fit the theme of the song — not just with syncronizing the clips to the music — and the vid “made sense” to me as a viewer. Great job.

    • bccmee says:

@servetus: Yes, the song was what made this video, not me. 🙂

I agree about the special effects sometimes taking over the video. Personally, I like to experiment and challenge myself and push the boundaries of my music videos and sometimes they may go too far. 😀 Some of my favorite videos are simple and without special effects. On the other hand, other favorites are heavy on the effects.

      Thanks for your thought-provoking comment.

  29. tully2shoes says:

Great video! Yeah, what is it with RA and throwing red-headed children into water? I guess it’s just a coinkidink:) Always love the surprise at the end of all your vids:)) You are one talented gal!

  30. Meryl says:

great vid B with some of my favourite “bits” from Robin Hood, and the pic of the day picture is~ I think~my favourite Guy picture…………………….sigh……………..
I remember reading somewhere, or hearing Richard say in an interview, that the little girl, who is Hungarian, couldn’t stop laughing so it took a while to film that part!

    • bccmee says:

@Meryl: That Picture of the Day is quite lovely and it features season 1 Guy which is my favorite even though that’s clearly the minority opinion. 😀 I do remember that interview too.

  31. Holliday says:

Your videos are always fun to watch!

  32. Jane says:

This is a wonderful start for 2012, Thanks for starting with the super sizzling hot Guy! Love it and yes i want some more ❤

  33. It’s hard not to like this double Guy.& Vasey . As always your vds are very funny and the final is indeed amazing! I loved it !You ´re very creative Bcc! I didn´t know the song ,but I liked it. Btw in wich ep. Vasey is with his face all black ?

    • bccmee says:

@Tereza: Thanks and I’m glad you enjoyed the humor in this fanvideo. The scene with the sheriff’s face with tar or something was from Robin Hood 3.3 in which Richard Armitage did not appear. It was too funny to pass up!

  34. linda60 says:

Oh no, it’s already blocked here in Germany. Poor me 😦 !!!
Is there any other way of watching your new vid besides JT?

    • bccmee says:

@linda60: Oh no, sorry to hear that. YouTube is giving me an error message when I try to see the copyright information at the moment so I don’t know if it’s blocked anywhere else. Thanks for letting me know. I’ll have the video available for download tomorrow. See you then!

  35. Emma says:

Clever you! You always put images to music sooo well. l love that you included Keith Allen, as there’s certainly no Guy without the Sherrif. Well done, once again. Cheers!

  36. Thais says:

Well done, Bccmee!!! It’s always nice to see RA in action as Gisborne, the villain we love! Great first video of 2012. Great beginning! I’m thrilled because Robin Hood 3 has just started here in Brazil!! By the way, the “splash” scenes are really nice! I love it! :))

  37. love4ot says:

Hahaha what a great idea to use “Animal” with Guy and the sheriff! Surprise ending was very funny. 😀

  38. Late to the party but loved this vid with my favourite Guy. Thanks for the DL too. Some great clips of the two baddies that I’ve not seen in a while, I still miss this show despite it’s quirkiness.
    Funny ending too. Thanks B.

    • bccmee says:

@RichardArmitageNet: Thanks so much for taking the time to comment. The music took over completely and this video made itself, which was nice of it, LOL!
