John Porter drag and drop game

Yes, it’s time to wrap up our lovely PortEmber Challenge!  Again and again, I am overwhelmed by your enthusiastic participation.  Thanks for the fun times.  😀

Today’s Flash animation is a drag and drop game with Richard Armitage as John Porter in Chris Ryan’s Strike Back which was an idea suggested by several of you. I have also selected a caption for the helicopter animated gif posted yesterday.

First a screencap from RichardArmitageNet.Com.  I could not find a decent screencap of John Porter’s full body including feet so this has to suffice.  😉

The caption contest was more difficult than I expected.  Some of entries were ruled out automatically because of their length, but any of the others would have made great gifs.  However, I did not want to make more than one, LOL!  Below is your helicopter animated gif with a caption by tyme4t.  I decided to go “serious” for this one because this caption is very apropos.  Tyme4t covered her bases by submitting both silly and serious!  I read the captions without looking at the contributors and it’s a coincidence that I selected the same person who suggested the helicopter scenes for the PortEmber challenge!  Thank you all very much for your contributions and congratulations to tyme4t.

“Goodbye brave girl”

Now here is your drag and drop game.  Hope you enjoy!  I got a little carried away with the “accessories” and even included the gag worn by John Porter in the prison. That would make it difficult to talk on the phone, LOL!

As mentioned before, I am using 000Webhost to host my Flash videos externally.  Please click the image or the text link below.

Guess what tomorrow is?  The beginning of the 12 Days of Guyness!  Fellow blogger Gratiana has a fun tie-in with a parody poem over on her blog and I suggest you head over there to check it out:  Something About Love.  See you tomorrow!

P.S. A gentle reminder: If you are purchasing anything from Amazon UK or Amazon US, a commission will be donated to one of Richard Armitage’s favorite charities if you order through RichardArmitageNet.Com.

Yessss, I’m happy for tomorrow’s begining for the 12 days of Guyness… swoon…

And so that I can see what wonderful gif you have done with my cap’ proposition. 😉

    • bccmee says:

@April: I’m looking forward to the 12 Days of Guyness too even though I have no idea what I’m going to do yet, LOL! Maybe it’s time to start some planning.

Thanks so much for all your support, participation and comments! *HUGS*

  2. GratianaDS90 says:

    Hi Bccmee!
Love it! So much fun! Thanks also for directing folks over to my blog. It’s been fun planning my complementary posts for your 12 Days of Guyness event.
    Cheers! Grati ;->

    • bccmee says:

@GratianaDS90: It’s very fun to collaborate! Thanks for your fun blog as well as your contributions here! Wow, I haven’t planned anything for the 12 Days of Guyness so I’d best get to it tonight, LOL!

  3. Elaine says:

I’m home sick today with a nasty cold so the arrival of this game is very timely indeed – I can play with it (him) to my heart’s content! I wish RichardArmitageNet.com also had a link to amazon.ca as I’m sure there are lots of Canadian fans who would like to make the charity connection.

    • April says:

      Take care Elaine. 🙂

A few friends of mine have aslo a cold…

      • jules says:

Hope you feel better soon, Elaine, but I have heard that there are lots of ‘ladies’ with rising temperatures…PortEmber was a hot month and the 12 days of Guyness are going to be steaming…take care

    • Hi Elaine, bccmee directed me to your post regarding the Amazon.ca site.
As you know, RAnet is an Amazon Associate for just the UK and US sites at present. This is because the majority of visitors to the website are from the UK and US.
Referral payments on anything bought from Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.com are paid by Amazon on a quarterly basis, at the end of the following quarter (i.e. fees for Oct-Dec will be received at the end of March). But, referral fees are only paid by Amazon if the minimum referral fee threshold is met. With fewer fans in Canada and in other countries I wasn’t sure whether that minimum threshold would be met each quarter.
If minimum amounts aren’t met, they roll over to the next quarter, so I’m not ruling out applying for Associate status with other Amazon sites in the future but I will wait to see how successful these two are before I decide whether to apply to other Amazon sites. Each application is treated separately and each Amazon site has a different set of T&Cs so it’s something I would need to consider carefully.
Sorry for the long answer but I hope that I’ve been able to explain why RAnet is not currently an Associate of Amazon.ca.
      Ali

    • Teuchter says:

I share the same wish, Elaine! I am one of those fans and have asked Ali at RAnet about it. I would do it through the dotcom one but with our $ the way it is at the moment the cost becomes a little prohibitive. I buy a LOT of stuff through Amazon (even a fantastic Kitchen Aid Food Processor on a one day special offer that I couldn’t refuse), in fact I’ve spent soooo much over this last year that I’m almost nervous to tally up the total!! Now I’m off to “play” with JP!!! Such fun! 🙂

May I be bold and ask what part of Canada you live in? I’m in BC. I hope your cold gets better soon. I’m just gettin over one and they are nasty!!

      • Teuchter says:

“getting” over one!! I should proof read!!

        • jules says:

Hi Teuchter … the best thing is we don’t have to pay anything to play with JP how fantastic is that??? I would pay a million ££££s if necessary….Ooooh giggles a traffic report has just come on the radio as I’m typing this “there’s problems in the Nottingham area” mmmmm sounds like Sir Gizzy and Vasey again LOL!!!

    • bccmee says:

@Elaine: I do hope you recover quickly from whatever is ailing you! *HUGS* I have lots of home remedies but I will spare you the advice. 🙂 Glad you found some solace in playing with JP though, LOL!

  4. How nice! I had fun playing the game.
I might not often post comments, but I’m loving the PortEmber Challenge 🙂

  5. jazzbaby1 says:

Yay! I made him Mike Rowe doing a Ford commercial. Thanks bccmee!

  6. Carolyn says:

LOL, I really enjoyed playing with the drag and drop. Decorated the whole place and him! I am looking forward to the 12 Days of Guyness! Thanks so much for so much fun.

  7. That was fun B. I love the storm trooper helmet!
I am very much anticipating the 12 Days of Guyness. Woohoo!

    • bccmee says:

@jeanniegisborne: So glad you liked that wacky touch, LOL! I’m looking forward to the 12 Days of Guyness too! Will have to whip something up between now and then. 😉

  8. Kitty says:

    We’ve become JP’s personal valet!

  9. jules says:

Whoops mine looks like Rolf Harris…All I need is a didgeridoo if anyone has a spare one…Cheers

  10. I was at work (about 3 hours ago) when I saw your post, so I immediately started playing and having a lot of fun with the snakes all over JP adoring him, trying to drag his clothes out of the image (by the way it doesn’t work, you should fix it) when all of a sudden Peeeeeeeeeeowwwww the lights went off, the alarm went on, communications off, the whole sistem was down …..
I think we can conclude with a high degree of certainty the following scientific statement:

Richard’s sex appeal is directly related to the crash of servers.

Thank you for all the fun you brought us through!!!!! I can’t wait to see what your know-how is going to to with his Guyness 🙂 🙂

    • jules says:

Ana…I tried to drag the clothes the other way…darn it!!! We must be more careful in future we could cause a real meltdown or should I say RA could…I broke the printer at work when secretly trying to print a lucious RA calendar…I was meant to be producing financial reports…Everyone wondered who on earth it was…the accountants worked it out with a pencil….giggles

      • ROFL!!!! I totally relate with you! When the lights were back on again, the only screen working was mine so some of my colleagues came to my office to see if we could do something to re-establish comms but my screen was frozen showing a huge wall paper of John Porter I use as screen saver and everybody was like “Who’s that guy”???? “Well, well, what do we have here???” …. *giggles and blushes*

        • Elaine says:

@Ana Cristina, where I work most of the Admin. staff have lovely wallpapers to help us get though the day. Mine is Sir Guy. The other ladies have Usher, Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Matthew Fox. Mine wins, hands down.

        • Teuchter says:

ROFL too!! Too funny about your frozen screen! What is that old saying – “Be sure your sins will find you out”? LOL!! At least you could spread some joy around with a John Porter wall paper!!! Maybe you got some more people interested in Mr Armitage!!:)

    • bccmee says:

@Ana Cristina: Your experiences were soooooooooo funny! I was practically on the floor laughing! Thanks for sharing your tale!

      😀 😀 😀

    • April says:

I love this phrase “Richard’s sex appeal is directly related to the crash of servers” ! 🙂

  11. alfie says:

LOL. That was so fun – looove the helmet from starwars. You have a very speciel talent 🙂

  12. chabesquen says:

I am always so amazed at your talent! The game is great, along with all of the other things you have created for PortEmber!!! The storm trooper helmet was an excellent addition, although I can’t imagine ever wanting to cover up that gorgeous face. 😉 When I saw that caption suggested yesterday, I thought it was perfect. 🙂

    • bccmee says:

@chabesquen: I don’t know what possessed me to put in the storm trooper helmet but you’re right, it’s a crime to cover up that lovely face. Ah well, it can still act as a prop, LOL! I’m delighted you like the animated gif too. 🙂 Thanks ever so much for all your participation!

  13. CDoart says:

What a wonderful game. How can I possibly drag myself away again and go back to work? Oh, bccmee, your flash games are absolutely addictive ;o)

    • bccmee says:

@CDoart: Haha, I was so busy playing with the game that I almost didn’t want to put any words on my blog, LOL! Thanks again for all you do in the Richard Armitage community! *HUGS*

  14. Teuchter says:

You have blown me away by your talents once again, Bccmee!! This is SO much fun. It took me a moment or two to realize I could move John around too!! I guess I’m a little slow!! 😀 The gif is lovely and the caption perfect. The way he looks at Katie is so moving and conveys so much emotion, revealing the ordeal they shared. How he can show so much in just one look continues to amaze me.

Thrilled at the thought of the 12 days of Guyness!! If they are anything like Portember I won’t need any heat on in the house in spite of cooler temperatures outside! 😀

    • bccmee says:

@Teuchter: I intentionally obscured the fact that you could move John Porter too. 🙂 I like to make things a little tricky, LOL! I also have two hidden items. Have you found them yet? 😉

Oh I am in total agreement how Richard Armitage acted in the helicopter scene with no dialogue. He spoke volumes of emotion. If you look very closely and carefully, you can see JP holding Katie protectively as the helicopter is landing. ♥

Bring on the 12 Days of Guyness! I hope the muse shows up soon as I have no idea yet what I’m doing tomorrow, LOL!

Thanks again for all your continued support!

    • kathryngaul says:

Oh, Teuchter…you said “so much fun”….just like a grown-up!!!!! That “so fun” everyone else seems to have adopted from America recently just sounds wrong to me…….I’m really showing my age now, aren’t I? I’m quite happy to have “pinched” a few Americanisms over the years such as “OK” (the best term that they’ve ever invented and now used all over the world, of course…clever things!), “jive”, “jeep”, “rock and roll” but I’m not so fond of some of the newer ones that have come to us via television.

Bccmee….you must be one of the most talented individuals around! You come up with the greatest inventions! Can’t wait for your tomorrow…it’s been 1 Dec 2011 for 18 1/2 hours down here near Middle Earth and even longer there!

  15. BCC, November was a fantastic month!
You spoiled us so much with surprises and unexpected gifts.
Today’s game is adorable! Thank you.

Now pressure is growing, Guy is going to arrive! I can’t wait.
As it is 30th November, still PortEmber, I leave you a little gift of my own, a dedication to your fav character: http://twitpic.com/7m9pqc

I only learned to use the Flash drawing tool. Here a little “piece of elementary art” for you!
    Hear from you tomorrow

    • bccmee says:

@Carla: Thanks so much and I’m glad you enjoyed the fun and games this month! Wow I love your JP graphic. As JT said, “I will treasure it always.” 🙂 That’s a really lovely poem you selected too. Thanks! *HUGS*

  16. Tempestguy says:

So much fun, loving Porter with Thorin style beard & aviator sunglasses…..Mmmmm

  17. Dhana says:

Hmmm. What perks come with having security clearance??? I am desperate to find out!!!

  18. tyme4t says:

WOW – There were so many great captions that others came up with I was really surprised that mine was chosen! Lovely fit I think.
I am also having fun with the “finale” – spending some time dragging & dropping.
    Bring on the Guy-fest!

  19. fitzg says:

bccmee, great month! (I did like the accessories idea, too).
Elaine, it is tough being a small market. There appear to be a few of us now. Hope that will grow, and Ali can include Amazon.ca at some point. Take care with the cold!

  20. What a fun game! You made November this year warm and happy with your fab PortEmber!
    Thank you again and again!

    • bccmee says:

@grendel’s mum: And thank you for your gorgeous and informative Japanese blog! I go there for my Hobbit updates with the help of Google Translate. It’s a great resource!

  21. Teuchter says:

You DID make it tricky but I finally found the hidden items!! Does that mean I get a badge too, Bee?? 🙂

  22. That was pretty fun! Thanks for sharing.

  23. Ania says:

Thanks Bccmee, this game is really funny 🙂 Although I admit that most made me happy that I can move John Porter. LOL! (oh and then I’d like to put him in my pocket, as Milow sang in song “You and Me”)

  24. Lady Prisca says:

Very good gif and I love very much the flash project , very funny to do it.
