Today we are celebrating PortEmber with some more animated gifs. Here’s a screencap I chose of Richard Armitage as John Porter pointing a gun while shirtless. What could be better? 😉

Here again are the screencaps chosen. All but one of them are from the Strike Back Gallery at RichardArmitageNet.com. These are the same screencaps from yesterday’s Flash magazine, but I also wanted to use them in animated gifs. Thanks again to the contributors: Ana Cristina, Emma, tyme4t, jules and Lady Cassia. I figured since they all shared yesterday’s PortEmber challenge, they could have another turn! Also, I am out of submitted screencaps. 🙂 I did not get the full allotment. It actually worked out quite well because I had Sundays off in PortEmber.

thankyou so much for making my choice into a gif as it did seem strange choosing the back of John Porter rather than the more popular frontage…this just happens to be one of my fav parts of the show…don’t you just love the way he kicks the couch over…he’s so angry but it’s funny at the same time…Best not take JP to the New Year Sofa Sales!!!!

(My laptop is a bit old and I wasn’t able to download the Adobe program you told us in your tutorial :(:(: ), well but that doens’t matter here).
The Tom&Jerry gif is superb and so is the whole sunglasses parade, not to mention the slow mo gif that gives you a reason to undress. No wait, It’s the other way around ? ? I’m confused 😉

Your gifs are genius!! I don’t even like guns (except the biceps kind of course!) but when they are held by John Porter? Well my opinion undergoes a complete turn-around!! Even more so when he is shirtless!! 🙂 The slo-mo shirt removal made me laugh and what came to mind was the 1957 “The Stripper” music! LOVE those shoulders of his!!

Hi! Thanks again for your overwhelming response. Keep the caption suggestions coming. Movie references are a plus. Not sure what time I’m posting tomorrow but I will wait till the last second to make my decision because: (A.) I’m a procrastinator (B.) I want to give you as much time as possible (C.) your “smart-aleck” might return and/or (D.) it only takes me a minute to add a caption.
Glad you enjoyed these little gifs. Yes, the armpits have some kind of weird effect on me too. Very hypnotic. I’m getting sleeeeeeepy! Sometime I’ll have to look up the music for The Stripper! 😉
The back of Porter is a very lovely point of view too, and I’ll remember not to take him to the New Year’s sofa sales. Tom & Jerry (Gerry) really had a great bromance.
I do hope you try out the animated gif tutorial when time and equipment allow. Perhaps some of you will get newer computers for the holidays. 🙂 Then in the New Year instead of going to sofa sales, we’ll all be making animated gifs. With or without sofas contained therein.
