Today is Richard Armitage’s 40th birthday. Here is my first-ever birthday fanvideo in tribute to the actor. It’s best viewed on a full screen for reasons which will be apparent. I think of it as a “sampler.”
As usual I had too many ideas for my video which made it difficult to focus. Luckily I had a dream the other night which gave me this concept. Hope you enjoy! I literally dream in layers.

I started one new video, where I let RA say things he did not really say, at least not in the context I put it into ;o), but that one is on hold currently. I must redo it and work on it a bit more to make it fun to watch or I will start afresh? Not sure yet what best to do with it.

Oh bccmee that was an amazing and wonderful visual feast!! I have tears of joy! Split screen effect was to die for, loved the start with Richard speaking at The Hobbit press conference, gets me every time and the end just finished me off!! My God he has gotten better with age, if that is at all possible. Love him to bits and you too for being such a talent and willing to share with us.

For Richard, of course, but I think for you too Bccmee because I’ve seen, well honestly I’ve lost count of how many fanvids I’ve seen now, and I certainly have some true favourites- but yours is FANtastic! I’m STILL grinning. Thank you so much for sharing and flexing those talent muscles again (your graphic-a-day series, well pretty much everything really). You must know that it brings so much joy.
I too “went off the deep end” as you so aptly put it because of the conference. To think that might not have happened wihout your posting – it’s unthinkable! I’m not sure if it was the extra stimulus of the beard (thinking of some of Traxy’s comments here) or if it’s because it was the first time and I expect the last time too that the planets aligned so fortuitously that his wonderfulness spoke my name (my name!!! can you imagine the squee!!!) and in that voice on top of everything else. I don’t think I’ll ever truly recover!
For me this is a Big Day because I promised myself that the Birthday would be when I finally find the courage to de-lurk and join the party. So, deep breath,

I love Harry Kennedy so I can really appreciate that sentiment. 🙂 Richard Armitage has a certain effect that is such a force for good. I never made graphics or videos before, but he is truly my muse. I’m so looking forward to seeing him more on the big screen even though that means longer waits between roles. RA is such a talent and I’m glad his work is immortalized on film for everyone to discover.

Oh B, I don’t even know where to begin…I’ve been waiting on pins and needles for this for WEEKS!! And now that it’s here, I’m speechless. (And we all know that in and of itself is weird!) Completely! The music=perfect, the timing of the words of the music w/the clips=perfect, the clips themselves-perfect, the themes re: glasses, kisses etc.=perfect, the intro and conclusion=perfect (did you have an outline?! LOL!!)
I swear that during the kissing montage, my eyeballs literally crossed trying to keep up with all of that lip action!!!! And I froze completely during the SILENT N&S kiss! Accck/Squee/THUD!!!! And you just kept slamming us then w/the “slap” montage…I suppose that was to break us out of the total slobbering trance following the kissing montage??…and I knew to wait to the end cause you always end with a bang, and I’ll be durned if you didn’t do JUST that w/the Guy clip?! CocaCola is now the color of choice for my screen, walls and blinds thanksalot. Enough gushing?! Nah…I’ve said before and I’ll say it again…GIRL, YOU ARE GOOD!!!

I am bowled over by your comment, NovemberBride! Or should I say analysis, LOL? You saw so many touches that I had a great deal of fun putting together. Some of it was intentional, some accidental. No plan when I went in, except for the song. The dream got me started on the split screen, then the idea for the themes just “happened” as I was working on it.
Perhaps I should have a link to screen cleaner on this video. Remember it was RA who did all the performances…I just loosely quilted them together, so the credit goes to him for creating such compelling characters.
I do look forward to seeing your decorating efforts in your guest room…either through pictures or in person, LOL.
Now I worry that I may need analysis of the psychotherapy type. 😉

I watched so much RA on Monday I forgot to leave comments. This is brilliant, I was so sad on Sunday after watching the first episode of SB2 even though I had tried to prepare myself I still cried.
