Hello and thanks for visiting!
This is a bit of a surprise for me. To be truthful — and I’m probably the worst liar on the planet — I didn’t know this would be my video. I have been working on three videos lately. The video I planned to finish first required a lot of special effects and it was taking a long time. At the last minute I decided to change my mind so I could post today as promised.
Here it is. The winner by chance is John Thornton!

This is my first ever North & South fanvid. The guy wearing a blue hat in the promo picture is not in my video. 😉
Even though I had already started making the video before today, I ended up changing it completely. It was originally going to be more about Margaret, but John Thornton’s beauty was more appealing to me, LOL!
When my sister told me about this song, she protested that it was not a good fit for North & South, but it was the first idea to pop into my mind. I love my sister, but she’s wrong sometimes. 😉 You’ll have to decide for yourself if it’s an appropriate song.
Thanks again for all your support. There ain’t no stinkin’ RA drought! 😀

Edit: I almost forgot to mention that both Daniella Denby-Ashe and Richard Armitage give stellar performances in North & South. That goes without saying, but I want to say it anyway.

John Thornton is in my fave five, but I never got around to finishing a North & South fanvid before today. That’s so kind of you to say you’d like it even if it contained the guy in the blue hat, LOL! Well if it was a slideshow I could work him in, but rather difficult in a video. 😉 I know what you mean about the TDHCMO. He certainly has a presence. ♥

I haven’t watched North & South in awhile, but I may be overdue now. 🙂 I’m so glad you enjoyed my little video. Actually never thought I’d finish a N&S vid because it’s been done so many times, but now I’m glad I did it!

My favorite shot (I have about 100 to be honest!) is JT standing at the window on the heels of his rejected proposal. He’s just walked in with his mother sitting there, who is breathlessly awaiting the outcome of the proposal. The emotions that flitter across his face take my breath away every time I watch N&S. Wonderful vid and tell your sister “I told you so”!!! 🙂

Mmm, JT in motion is like poetry. I was thinking the same thing as I was making the video. Even without a line of dialogue, Richard Armitage’s body language spoke volumes.
I think it’s a perfectly appropriate song. I LOL-ed at that guy in the blue hat! I wonder if BBC noticed that, or if it was an accident? Let’s hope the latter.

Another case of RA ESP. You knew what I didn’t. I’m not lying here when I say I was focusing on another video entirely and when I realized I wasn’t going to finish it by my self-imposed extended deadline, I decided to pull out another video in progress. The only scene I kept from the initial edit was the giant teacup/finger brushing scene so I essentially started from scratch! Thanks for your kind words, RAFrenzy. 🙂

Lovely video B – watched it this morning, must dig out my N&S DVD, haven’t watched it in ages! I voted for Lucas, but really would have been happy with any of the choices (it was an ‘eeny, meeny..’ moment)!
A thought on that pic (and no, nothing to do with the chap in the blue hat) – I know DDA’s an actress but she’s a woman too – how is she still stood upright whilst getting the full Thornton stare? *swoon*

Thanks for your comment, verriakelly! One of the reasons for Richard Armitage’s following is because he transforms himself in each of his roles. However, I think that is what keeps him from becoming a household name (or even face) to the casual viewers of his shows. Last time I was in the UK, I asked many people if they knew who he was and they didn’t. But when I mentioned 3 or 4 of his recent roles, they had seen all of them but didn’t know it was the same guy! 😀
